■“From now on, I will ask everyone to kill each other.”
The trailer video with the theme song for the short drama “Last Class -Only those who survive graduate-” starring FANTASTICS’ Yusei Yagi has been released.
Nippon Television’s original project “The Last Lesson -Only those who survive graduate-” will be distributed as the first project from the new short drama app “UniReel” on November 26th.
The story is that Maruyama, a music teacher played by Yagi, gathers the students in the music room the day before the graduation ceremony and sets up a death game in the name of “the last lesson.” The 20 students will be played by young actors who will lead the next generation. Additionally, Miona Hori plays Maruyama’s girlfriend and former homeroom teacher.
The released trailer begins with Yagi, his white shirt covered in red blood, announcing, “From now on, I’m going to ask everyone to kill each other.” He begins speaking with a calm expression, as if saying, “I’m going to take attendance now,” but when he says, “I’m going to kill each other,” his face suddenly changes, and it’s interesting to see how a smile appears on his lips.
In addition to Yagi’s crazy performance, we also see Hori being doused with water in a private toilet room and tearfully crying out, “I can’t come to this school anymore,” and the fear of the students as they play a death game. The content provides a glimpse of despair and the death game.
This film was filmed by the actors in a true-to-life style. Hori commented, “This is a very shocking work, and each and every cast member put their all into it. Please take a look.”
This trailer video can be viewed on the official SNS of the UniReel app, and a limited video is also available on the official UniReel app’s LINE VOOM.
In addition, with the release of the trailer video, the theme song “Saigo no Yakusho” (lyrics: ICHIHO, music: Chanyusho, arrangement: maeshima soshi) by singer-songwriter Chanyusho, which is played in the video, has also been released. This is also worth checking out.
■Chanyu stomach comment
I was in charge of the theme song for “Saigo no Kyoushu”.
I believe that maeshima soshi’s reassuring tracks, ICHIHO’s words, and the worldview of both of them brought out music that I had never experienced before.
I myself often sing songs that make me feel positive, but I sometimes feel timid about “living”.
This song is a gentle song that encourages positivity and tells us that we are not alone and that we should move on without giving up on “living” together.
I hope that people who listen to this song will be able to face themselves in various ways, be close to themselves, and have hope for “living”.
