■“Dear ARMYs, I will be doing a lot of activities for the other members, so don’t get bored!” (BTS JIN)
BTS/JIN will simultaneously release their 1st solo album “Happy” worldwide at 2:00 pm on November 15th. A question and answer regarding the album has arrived.
“Happy” is an album that talks about the journey of searching for “happiness”, which is important to JIN. Through his new album, he candidly expresses the elements of happiness, such as love, excitement, and courage, and hopes to become a “ray of sunshine” that delivers positive energy. In addition, I put my feelings into the music that I hope everyone who listens to the album will be happy.
“Happy” is filled with JIN’s warm feelings, and includes the title song “Running Wild,” “I’ll Be There,” “Another Level,” “Falling,” “Heart on the Window (with WENDY),” and “I will come.” Contains a total of 6 songs including “to you”. Vocalist JIN’s charm blends into the diverse genres of music based on band sounds. Furthermore, JIN also wrote the lyrics for the fan song “I will come to you.”
JIN will hold a comeback live broadcast “JIN Comeback Live: What is ‘Happy’?” on the global super fan platform Weverse at 14:30 on November 15th. Next, on the 16th and 17th, the fan showcase “JIN ‘Happy’ Special Stage” will be held at Jangchung Gymnasium, Jung-gu, Seoul.
Q. How do you feel after releasing your 1st solo album “Happy”?
JIN: First of all, I’m happy that a solo album under my name will be released, and I hope that my fans will be happy with it. And I hope that everyone who listens to this album will be happy. This album reflects a lot of my opinions. It’s an album that fully reflects my tastes, so I’d be happy if I could get people to say, “It’s a good song” or “I want to listen to it again.” (lol)Q. What are the points for watching “Happy”?
JIN:This album is based on the sound of a band that I like. The band’s sound is especially exciting when you listen to it at the venue, so we recommend that you imagine what it would be like to hear this song at the venue while you watch it.Q. What were your impressions when you first heard the title song “Running Wild”?
JIN:I felt a nostalgic feeling. I chose “Running Wild” as the title song because I think everyone who listens to the song will feel relaxed and familiar with it.Q. A behind-the-scenes episode with Gary Barlow of the legendary British pop band Take That, who participated as a producer.
JIN: I corrected my pronunciation many times while recording. I was a little confused because the American pronunciation and the British pronunciation were different, but I tried my best to sing the song with the correct pronunciation over and over again. Of course, it was also because my pronunciation wasn’t great (lol).Q. What did you pay attention to when creating “I’ll Be There,” which is in the rockabilly genre that is somewhat unfamiliar in Korea?
JIN:The song was written with the assumption that I would sing it from the beginning, so there weren’t too many difficult parts. However, I had to create a fun feeling in the lyrics of “One Two Three Four,” but I couldn’t get it right, so I recorded it many times.Q. A behind-the-scenes story about writing the lyrics for the fan song “I will come to you.”
JIN:After I became a training sergeant, I wrote down a few lines about my feelings at that time. It was a record of honest feelings like, “Even though the fans are waiting for me, I have to sing, and I have to perform live.” Based on that, I reflected on my feelings at that time and wrote the lyrics about my desire to return to my fans as soon as possible. I hope this feeling reaches all the fans.Q. What would you like to do to make the current JIN “Happy”?
JIN: I have been involved in various activities recently. The fans were happy to see our activities, and seeing them happy made me happy too. I thought, “This is what I’m working for.”Q. Lastly, what would you like to say to ARMY (BTS fans) around the world?
JIN: First of all, I would like to thank all the ARMYs who have been waiting for the album. I think we were able to release the album “Happy” because of everyone. ARMYs, I’ll be doing a lot of activities for the other members, so don’t get bored! I love you!
