Kenshi Yonezu releases music video for “Mainichi,” the new Georgia commercial song, filmed in one take

Kenshi Yonezu has released the music video for his new song “Mainichi,” which he wrote as a commercial song for Coca-Cola Japan’s “Georgia.”

“Mainichi” is a song that Kenshi Yonezu wrote about his daily life in one stroke, starting with the earnest lyrics, “Every day, every day, every day, I’ve been doing my best in my own way,” and then the number moves forward with high energy and a bouncy rhythm as he repeats the days of the week, “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.” The song expresses his not-so-smooth daily life with a reckless, energetic, yet up-tempo, light-hearted melody.

The music video for this work is a one-shot video, featuring Kenshi Yonezu and seven dancers. It is directed by video director Yusuke Tanaka, who is teaming up with Kenshi Yonezu for the first time. The choreography for the dancers was done by Tomohiko Tsujimoto.

Georgia’s new campaign, which began on May 13th, features Mukai Osamu (actor), Hamabe Minami (actor), and Kawamura Yuki (professional basketball player) in the advertising visuals.

Continuing from last year, the ad carries the message, “Every day is quite a drama,” and shows how taking a break and drinking Georgia makes you feel more positive.
