On the music program “The Covers” broadcast on NHK BS, “Christmas Party Night with The Covers Gospellers! ‘ has been decided to be broadcast.
This time’s guest is The Gospellers. Together with them, who will celebrate their 30th anniversary since their major debut in December 2024, we will deliver plenty of Christmas classics. We will explore the charm and history of Christmas classics together with these guys who have played many famous songs with exquisite harmony.
The cover songs are Wham!’s global standard number “Last Christmas” and Back Number’s 2015 hit “Christmas Song”. Presented by their acapella performance. The charm of the song, the historical background, and the memories of each Christmas bloomed, creating a huge excitement.
There is also a corner that explores the history of Japanese Christmas songs. From Christmas songs from the 1950s to masterpieces by Yumin and Tatsuro Yamashita that are indispensable for this season, we will delve into them with the Gospellers.
