■A scene in which Kazuya, who works as a day laborer at a construction site in Osaka, meets Kaburagi in the bathhouse of his workplace’s dormitory and stares at Kaburagi, whom they have known for a short time, has been released!
Scene photos and filming episodes of Kazuya, played by Shintaro Morimoto (SixTONES), from the Yokohama Ryusei starring movie “Satata” have been released.
This work is a superb escape suspense entertainment directed by Michito Fujii, who directed “10 Years to Live” and “Seishun 18 x 2: The Road to You.”
Yokohama Ryusei was arrested as a suspect in the murder case that shocked all of Japan and was sentenced to death, but he escaped and is hiding in various parts of Japan and is on the run. Kaburagi, a wanted criminal with five faces, is on the run. Riho Yoshioka, Shintaro Morimoto, Anna Yamada, and Takayuki Yamada will play the characters who met the characters.
Director Michito Fujii was impressed by Morimoto’s ability to play the role of Ryota Yamasato in the drama “Dagashi But Passion wa Aru” (2023), and Morimoto was offered the role. In this work, Morimoto plays Kazuya Nonomura, who Kaburagi, who has been on the run throughout Japan, meets while hiding in Osaka and eventually becomes his friend.
The scene photo that was recently released shows Kazuya, who works as a day laborer at a construction site in Osaka, meeting Kaburagi in the bathhouse of his workplace’s dormitory and staring at Kaburagi, whom they have known for a short time. Two shots of Kaburagi, a wanted criminal who befriends Kaburagi but then disappears, being interviewed on TV.
In this work, which marks the first time Fujii-gumi has participated, he brings humanity and friendliness to Kazuya, played by his natural brightness and dedicated efforts, and shows a new side as an actor. Regarding the filming in Osaka, where the movie was filmed, he says, “I was really anxious while I was in Osaka!” about his feelings at the time.
“Everyone says, “I’m Kazuya’s favorite” or “That scene with Kazuya was really great,” but I thought that everyone was following me because I couldn’t hide my anxiety. To be honest, I was nervous, but I liked Director Fujii’s direction and advice, so I was looking forward to it.”
Furthermore, “Director Fujii taught me various things such as feelings, phrasing, and facial expressions in each scene, and together we created the personal parts of Kazuya. The way you treat people, your position, etc. I felt like it overlapped with the current situation, and I think Director Fujii did a good job of expressing that.It was really difficult and really difficult, but it was a really fulfilling experience. “I was there,” he reveals.
Regarding Morimoto, Ryusei Yokohama also said, “Morimoto-kun made the atmosphere of the set better with his brightness, and I watched him face Kazuya and fight desperately, and I remember being there in the past.” I felt like I was watching myself, and I was able to feel the same emotions as Kaburagi.”
As Morimoto said, “I think the experience I gained by participating in Fujii-gumi will have a lot of influence on my future acting career.” Morimoto faced the role of Kazuya with sincerity, and was able to escape. As someone who “believes” in Kaburagi, who continues to do so, a character that captures the hearts of viewers has been completed.
