■An interview
Not only do I drink Yakult 1000 for my daily health, but I also try to incorporate seasonal ingredients for my children and keep them hydrated frequently.

Q. What kind of existence does “Yakult1000” mean to you?
Anzu: OhIt’s like a protection. I started drinking Yakult after giving birth, and now my family loves the Yakult series. With the convenience of being able to order through the app, it is truly an important partner that supports our daily lives.

Q. Was there anything that left a lasting impression on you during the filming of this commercial and graphics?
apricot:I have had the opportunity to see advertisements for “Yakult1000” for some time. The simple and stylish advertisement was very impressive. I was happy to be able to participate in this advertisement. Shooting with my eyes closed for a graphic advertisement was a new experience in my nearly 20-year career.

Q. You are always trying new roles and expressions, but is there anything you are particularly careful about when managing your health?
apricot:Although I work at irregular hours, early in the morning, and late at night, I believe that it is important to be able to get a good night’s sleep. There are times when I get so nervous that I can’t sleep when I start filming, but in those cases I try to maintain my performance by warming up my body by taking a bath and stretching.

Q.It’s a mentally and physically taxing job, but how do you keep your mind and body in balance?
apricot:I am conscious of having small pleasures. “Let’s have a delicious meal after we finish shooting” or other fun activities that are separate from work. By doing so, I can concentrate on my work while feeling excited. Having a way to make yourself feel good makes all the difference in maintaining motivation.

Q. Please tell me about the habits and routines you do on a daily basis to maintain your daily health.
apricot:In addition to drinking “Yakult 1000”, we also try to incorporate seasonal ingredients consciously. I also pay attention to my hydration and try to drink tea and water frequently. By being conscious of my physical condition on a daily basis, I am now able to make small adjustments such as, “Maybe I should supplement my nutrition,” or “Maybe I should take a break earlier.” I have come to realize that it is important to take preventive self-management measures rather than wait until you feel unwell.

Q. I understand that you are paying close attention to your child’s health care, but is there anything you keep in mind?
apricot:Children often feel that they are watching their parents closely. Children tend to do the same, perhaps because they are not good at drinking water frequently. That’s why I say things like, “Let’s drink some water,” or “Let’s check our water bottles before we go to school.” Even when it comes to meals, I place importance on creating daily habits such as “Let’s eat vegetables too.” Raising children has given me an opportunity to reevaluate my own health habits.

Q. Please tell us what you want to keep in mind as you continue to manage your health.
apricot:I truly believe that the small daily thoughts and habits that we make each day create who we will become tomorrow. Managing your health is not something special, it’s a daily effort. I hope that through this commercial, everyone can feel how to approach health.

■Takayuki Yamada interview
I was surprised to receive the commercial offer, but perhaps it was because of my healthy body that I was able to express myself. Now that I’m in my 40s, in order to manage my health, I’m counting backwards so that I can get a proper 7 hours of sleep.

Q. Please tell us how you felt when you received the offer to appear in the “Y1000” commercial and what you thought about taking on the challenge of filming.
Yamada:To be honest, I was wondering if it was okay for me. I’m the kind of person who lives by focusing on the excitement of the moment. However, after seeing the passion of the staff, I decided to give it a try. After completing the actual shooting, I realized that perhaps I was able to express myself because I am a healthy person.

Q.As you are constantly challenging yourself to create new works, is there anything you are particularly careful about when it comes to managing your health?
Yamada:Now that I’m in my 40s, I’m more careful than when I was in my 20s. When I was in my 20s, I was fine with 4 hours of sleep, but now I try to count backwards so that I can get 7 hours of sleep. I started paying more attention to what I put into my body, the food and drinks I eat. However, I don’t like to make too strict a decision, so I make sure to leave some room.

Q. How do you maintain your mental and physical balance during the filming period, which is mentally and physically taxing?
Yamada:It’s completely different depending on the role. There are times when you need to maintain some level of order, but it’s often better to break things up. When playing a character who faces a turning point in life or facing difficulties, you may have to push yourself mentally and physically. Even after returning from the scene, he tries to maintain that state. However, after I finish shooting, I try to go fishing and get back in touch with nature. When you’re a director or producer, it’s definitely better to be stable. Directors also get involved in the work and the characters, so I’ve seen many directors who are just as exhausted as the actors.

Q. Do you have any habits or routines that you follow to relieve stress, get quality sleep, and stay healthy?
Yamada:Sometimes you need a routine, and other times it’s better to break it up. If you feel like you’ve been doing the same thing a lot lately, try something different. Maybe that’s my way of finding balance. I try not to be too judgmental. I don’t live alone, so I spend my time valuing the rhythms of the people around me.

Q. Please tell us about your future dreams and goals.
Yamada:I don’t know what kind of people I will meet and what kind of feelings I will have in the future. I want everyone to live happily while enjoying it. I don’t know what’s going on in the world, so I don’t plan too far ahead. I hope to have fun while moving forward.

■MISIA interview
I hope that the song “CHANGE MY WORLD” will be a song that people who are chasing their dreams, who have things they want to do, and people who have a world they wish for can hum when they suddenly want to cheer up.

Q. What kind of presence does “Y1000” have for MISIA?
MISIA:Singing in front of people makes me happy, but it also makes me nervous. After the concert, I was having so much fun that I couldn’t switch to off mode and often couldn’t sleep. I first started drinking Y1000 when I was on tour and was trying various things to improve my sleep quality, and when I tried taking lactic acid bacteria, I thought, It made me realize, “It’s really good.” What I like about it is that it guides you “naturally and smoothly.”

Q. Please tell us the thoughts and highlights behind this song “CHANGE MY WORLD”.
MISIA:When we seek change, we sometimes seek very big actions or dramatic solutions, but I believe that even small actions can make a difference. I think it’s important to take action every day to bring about change. There is something called the butterfly effect, and even if it’s a small thing, listen to your mind and body and take action so that you can have a positive impact. May there be a wonderful and kind world beyond that. I wrote the lyrics thinking that this importance would also connect with the message of Yakult, which continues to pray for people’s health. I hope that this song will become a song that people who are chasing their dreams, who have something they want to do, and who has a world they want to hum when they just want to cheer up.

Q.While you are always trying new music and expressions, is there anything you are particularly careful about when it comes to managing your health?
MISIA:A balanced diet and sleep are most important. If you get about 8 to 10 hours of sleep, the quality of your voice will be completely different and it will become more shiny. It is also essential to cherish the moments that make you smile and the moments that make you feel happy. I feel that it is very important to create a good harmony between mind and body. I gradually realized the importance of this as I sang on various stages and recorded in various places after my debut. I started to realize the connection between mind and body. If your heart is hurt, your body won’t last. On the contrary, the body is strong
If you don’t do it, you won’t have a heart. As I gained more experience, I became more and more aware of this connection.

Q. Please tell us what you are especially conscious of in order to maintain a balance in mind and body.
MISIA:Since you will not be able to prepare your own meals during the tour, we will communicate your detailed requests to the staff. Also, I always take “Y1000” after the concert. I’ve tried various timings to drink it, but for me, the best time is after all my work is done. On days when I don’t sing, I try to drink it in the evening. I make sure to carefully identify when to turn on and off, and separate my actions at different times. During the tour, I took notes and recorded the relationship between my diet, sleep, and physical condition. You continued to keep records for about 15 years after your debut.

Q. Please tell us about your daily health habits and routines.
MISIA:In the morning, soak up the sunlight and have a hearty breakfast. I write lyrics and produce early in the morning, and then wake up with some light exercise. Before I put my energy into work, I prepare myself by eating two meals, breakfast and lunch. After work, switch to off mode by reading a book. There, I drink “Y1000”, listen to my favorite music, take a bath, and spend time as I like. In the end, I always try to do something that makes me smile before going to sleep.

Q. What do you want to cherish as you continue your activities as an artist?
MISIA:Knowing yourself is very important. From there, you can see what you need. The same may be true for health management and artistic activities.
