■The live video of one of REBECCA’s representative songs, “LITTLE ROCK”, is released for the first time on YouTube!

On January 19, 2025, which will mark 35 years since REBECCA’s legendary last live performance, a one-night-only anniversary screening will be held at 10 movie theaters in 8 cities nationwide.

REBECCA held a nationwide tour “REBECCA NOSTALGIC NEW WORLD TOUR 2024” to commemorate their 40th anniversary. REBECCA’s legendary live film “Dreams on 19900119 Reborn Edition-Return of Blond Saurus-” will be screened for one night only.

35 years ago, REBECCA’s 7th original album “BLOND SAURUS” was released on May 21, 1989 and reached number 1 on Oricon. The final performance of the national tour in support of the hit album was REBECCA’s first Tokyo Dome performance, which attracted 50,000 people and was a great success.

As a sequel tour, “REBECCA LIVE TOUR FROM’89 TO ’90 BLOND SAURUS Strikes Back” was held. On January 19, 1990, after the tour’s final stop, Nippon Budokan, REBECCA announced an indefinite hiatus, and the members went their separate ways.

The following day, on February 14, 1991, they officially announced their dissolution. In fact, the Nippon Budokan performance in 1990 was REBECCA’s last live performance.

The live film “Dreams on 19900119 Reborn Edition-Return of Blond Saurus-”, which completely records this historical moment, will be released at movie theaters in 10 locations in 8 cities nationwide on January 19, 2025, exactly 35 years after the Nippon Budokan performance. It will be screened for one night only on the anniversary. REBECCA’s best selection of songs includes the band’s tension and flawless performance that doesn’t even make you feel like they’re on hiatus, NOKKO dances sharply, and big hits such as “Friends” and “RASPBERRY DREAM.” It is regarded as a work with extremely high potential among fans.

The video was commercialized as “Dreams on 1990119” in 1990, but the video was re-edited by the then cinematographer, Kiyoshi Nobu, based on camera material and digital multi-tape that had been stored in good condition. Upconverted using the latest technology.

The sound source has been remixed from multi-tape by GOH HOTODA, who is also a Grammy award-winning engineer and is active worldwide, and has been mastered in 5.1ch surround for the theatrical version, and has been reborn.

After 35 years, this is a rare opportunity to relive the excitement and emotion of that day, a special night that lasted about 2 hours with 17 songs. Applause and cheers are acceptable, so bring along your memorabilia and enjoy the theater’s dynamic sound and large screen to your heart’s content.

In addition, to commemorate this live film screening, a live video of one of REBECCA’s representative songs “LITTLE ROCK” from the live film “Dreams on 19900119 Reborn Edition-Return of Blond Saurus-” will be available on the Sony Music official YouTube channel. Published for the first time.

Whether you were at Nippon Budokan or unfortunately couldn’t see it, the high-spec live film and theater space will transport you back to REBECCA’s Nippon Budokan performance 35 years ago.

Advance ticket reservations for movie theater screenings are available at Lawson Ticket until 11:59 p.m. on December 28th.
