Keisuke Kuwata to perform special live show singing jazz, pop songs and chanson at a long-established cabaret venue with a Showa-era atmosphere to be broadcast on TV

■A rare performance in front of an audience of 150 people, the smallest capacity to date for a Keisuke Kuwata solo concert!

Keisuke Kuwata will hold a special live show “JAZZ, Pop and Chanson Evening – R60” at Blue Note Tokyo in Aoyama (Tokyo) and Club Tsukisekai in Kobe (Hyogo) from March to April 2024. It has been decided that a special program condensing the Kobe performance from the total of four live shows into 45 minutes will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 10pm on June 13th.

Keisuke Kuwata, now 68 years old, sang famous jazz, pop songs, and chanson songs that he has been familiar with since childhood and that have become part of his life as a musician, with respect and admiration for his predecessors, and with the spirit of “learning from the past for the new.” The performance in front of an audience of 150 people, the smallest capacity for Keisuke Kuwata’s solo career, also attracted a lot of attention.

This was a very rare and special live performance that only a handful of fans were able to witness. Enjoy the stage performance at the long-established Kobe cabaret club “Gekisekai,” which still retains the atmosphere of the Showa era.

Comment from Keisuke Kuwata
It’s okay to take a detour. It’s okay even if it’s called anachronistic in the Reiwa era.
Let’s take a heartfelt tribute to the songs that we have grown to love, which could be called the “original musical landscape”…!
