Nippon Television’s year-end music festival “Announcement!” was born in 2022. Songs I Listened to Most This Year ~Annual Music Awards~” Due to popular demand, it has been decided that in 2024 it will be broadcast live for 4 hours starting at 7pm on December 28th.
The program will announce the most listened to songs and artists in various genres in 2024 based on subscription ranking data. In addition to the first place in each genre being delivered via VTR and live singing, live performances of the “Most Listened Songs of the Year” by gorgeous artists will also be broadcast.

■The new MCs are Mone Kamishiraishi & Eliza Ikeda!
In addition to Mone Kamishiraishi, who will be appearing for the third consecutive year, Elaiza Ikeda, who will be the MC for a Nippon Television music program for the first time, will be the new MCs. The two, who have gained popularity as actresses through numerous dramas and movies, love music, and are also active as artists, and are good friends in their private lives, will co-star as double MCs.

■Mone Kamishiraishi & Eliza Ikeda Interview
Q. What song did you listen to the most in 2024?
Kamishiraishi:There are many songs, but one of them is Yumi Kimura’s “Itsou Idodemo”. There was a performance of the stage play “Spirited Away” for a long time, and this is the song of my heart that I listened to all the time on my way to the theater, in the dressing room, on my way home, and on my days off.
Ikeda:This year, when I saw footage of Hikaru Utada’s live performance, I was once again experiencing a boom. I’ve been listening to Hikaru Utada’s songs throughout the album.
Q. When do you listen to songs on your subscription?
Kamishiraishi:In addition to when I’m on the move or getting ready, I also get energy from music when I can’t do anything on my own, such as when I wake up in the morning and don’t feel like it, or when I want to cool down at night.
Ikeda:I often listen to it when I’m at home. When I do housework, I sometimes find myself overthinking many things, so to stop myself from thinking about things, I use music to get me in the mood and keep completing tasks one after another.Q. What kind of songs do you have?
Kamishiraishi:When I’m home, Humbert Humbert is the sound of my life. I also love Western music, and listen to a lot of movie and musical soundtracks. I also like jazz.
Ikeda:It depends on the day, but for some reason I often find myself wanting to listen to Yumin when I’m doing things around the house. There’s a mood to life, and I feel like, “I’m alive! Life is wonderful!” When I go to work, I listen to girl groups and it gives me a little bit of confidence and energy. I also listen to R&B, soul, and everything else.
