Archives of songs performed by Masayuki Suzuki & Kocchi no Kento will be released! "REAL TIME THE FIRST TAKE"

■The first release will be Kocchi no Ken and “Don’t Die!”

“THE FIRST TAKE” has surpassed 10 million subscribers and has established itself as a music genre YouTube channel originating from Japan. It has been decided that the archive will be released as a director’s cut version of the one-shot live distribution project “REAL TIME THE FIRST TAKE” that was held on November 15th, the 5th anniversary of the channel’s opening, and will be released sequentially from December 2nd.

The first one-shot live streaming project of “THE FIRST TAKE” held on November 15th featured two groups: Masayuki Suzuki, who is known as the “king of love songs,” and multi-creator Kento Kocchi.

Masayuki Suzuki is known for his famous song “Megumi no Hito,” which was released in 1983 by Rats & Stars, who will celebrate their 45th anniversary as an artist in 2025, and is still loved by a wide range of generations for its catchy melody. They performed all two songs, including their debut song “Runaway” from the Chanels era, which became a million hit.

On the day of the event, Rats & Star members Yoshio Sato and Nobuyoshi Kuwano made a surprise appearance, and a special performance was held where they performed an a cappella version of the school song of their alma mater, Omori Daiichi Junior High School.

Kocchi no Ken’s song “Don’t Die!” was born out of the desire to “reach out to people who feel inferior,” based on his own painful experiences in the past.It was released in October and has already sold 10 million MVs. They performed a total of three songs, including the new song “Mouoiyo” which has been played more than once, and the popular song “Hai Yorokonde” which became a hot topic when it was performed for the first time in August as a surprise. On the day of the event, more than 120,000 reactions and comments were received in real time from viewers, and after the live broadcast, we received many requests for an archive, so it was decided to archive this director’s cut version. Both those who watched the one-night-only live broadcast in real time and those who missed it can enjoy the content.
