■Episode 8 synopsis
Four 16-year-old boys have been arrested on charges of robbery resulting in bodily injury. One night, the four of them break into the house of Kiyomi Tachibana (Mako Ishino), who is in her 60s and lives alone, when she is away, but unexpectedly she returns home. Yusei Taniguchi (Yuta Hayashi) gets upset and hits Kiyomi, injuring her. Furthermore, after their arrest, the three, including Taniguchi, confessed that they had committed the crime under the direction of their colleague Hayashi Kurimoto (Aito Sakamoto).
For this reason, the prosecution suspects a connection between Kurimoto and the underground part-time job organization that is causing a stir in the world, but Kurimoto flatly denies this, saying that they are playing a “dark part-time job” in which they do not steal even if they break into a residence. He says that Taniguchi was the one who planned it.
Kurimoto’s parents come to ask Ryoko (Shuri) to defend their son, and they can’t believe that their son, who was an honor student at school, has committed the crime. In particular, the mother, a teacher, believed that her son had been tricked by a misbehaving friend. However, when she searches the room to prove her son’s innocence, she finds something in the pocket of his uniform. Meanwhile, during his interview with Ryoko, Kurimoto hears some information about the victim, Kiyomi, and becomes a little upset. Something about this situation catches Ryoko’s attention and she decides to take some action…
Around that time, Ikurai (Arata Furuta) is secretly meeting with Nobu Fujiyoshi (Taro Omiya), the prosecutor in charge of this case. Furthermore, he also appeared in the audience seat of the trial…!?
