■“Nagano seems to love this album!” (U2 The Edge)
The Edge, guitarist of the world-famous rock band U2, appeared on comedian Nagano’s YouTube channel. This is the first time in about seven years that The Edge has been interviewed in Japan.
U2 will release the 20th anniversary edition of their album “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” on November 22nd. For this promotion, The Edge chose “Nagano CHANNEL.”
The Edge appeared in a video interview for the YouTube channel of comedian Nagano, whom he has introduced many times in his videos and who he has declared to be his biggest influence. This is the first time The Edge has been interviewed in Japan since they were interviewed as a band on a terrestrial TV information program about seven years ago.
In response to the comment from The Edge, Nagano commented in the video, “I’m glad to be alive. I’m not exaggerating, but I’m glad to be alive and I felt like I could quit.” In the approximately 30-minute video, Nagano talks a lot about not only this album, but also his love for U2 up until now, making it a must-see for not only Nagano fans but also U2 fans.

U2’s album “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” reached number one in 34 countries around the world, including the US, UK, and Ireland. It was the only U2 album to include two No. 1 singles in the UK, and won eight Grammy awards, including Album of the Year.
The 20th anniversary edition of the album, released on November 22nd, has been remastered for the first time and is available in a super deluxe collector’s box set (5CD or 8LP), 1CD, 2LP, cassette, and digital distribution. It’s on sale.
The Super Deluxe Collector’s Box Set, which will be completely limited in production, will include the remastered album and the “back” album “How to Reassemble an Atomic Bomb”, which includes rare material including 5 unreleased songs. ”, remix collection, first sound source “Vertigo 2005 // Live from Chicago”, a hardcover photo book (including previously unreleased photos) taken by Anton Corbijn, and eight prints illustrated by the band.
“How to Reassemble an Atomic Bomb” will also be released on November 29th as a standalone LP (Record Store Day limited edition) and digitally. This is also worth checking out.
