It has been decided that the special program “8th Momoiro Uta Gassen ~New Year’s Eve of Love~” will be broadcast live for free from Nippon Budokan on December 31st from 2pm on ABEMA. The first round of contestants have been announced.
The nationally popular idol group Momoiro Clover Z (hereinafter referred to as Momoclo) will be holding the “8th Momoiro Uta Gassen ~New Year’s Eve of Love~” on New Year’s Eve this year, and Momoclo members will be joining the “Red Group” along with gorgeous artists. The students are divided into the “white group” and engage in a serious singing competition.
This year, the show will start at 2pm and end at 7pm at Nippon Budokan. The teams will be divided into teams: Kanako Momota and Reni Takajo will lead the “Red Team,” while Shiori Tamai and Ayaka Sasaki will lead the “White Team.” On the day of the event, Japan’s leading figures and popular artists representing this year’s trends will appear one after another, transcending the boundaries of genre. A rare full-length song and a one-night-only collaborative performance will spark a passionate battle.
The first batch of contestants will include Yuki Kashiwagi, Maki Goto, Sunplaza Nakano-kun and Pappala Kawai from Bakufu Slump, Miyuki Watanabe, and Shika Club from the anime “Shikanoko no Kokoshintan”. From the boy/girl group world, ICEx, KAZUTA (n.SSign), and UNIS, from the two-dimensional content world, superhuman share house story “Charisma”, and from the VTuber world, Hoshou Marin, who belongs to Hololive, will appear for the first time. Other unique first-time artists who transcend the boundaries of genre include Aya Shimazu, THE PRIMALS, the official band of the game “Final Fantasy will liven up New Year’s Eve.
And this year, popular artists such as Masashi Sada, Shigeru Matsuzaki, Kishidan, Hiroko Moriguchi, as well as =LOVE, Uma Musume Pretty Derby, CENT (Cent Chihiro Chicchi), Non, Yabai T-Shirt Shop, etc. are exciting the music world. Our participation has been decided one after another. On the last day of 2024, a gorgeous lineup will be assembled.
Furthermore, in the popular corner of the Momoiro Uta Gassen, “Produced by Ayaka Sasaki, Nonstop “Love” Strongest Idol Medley 2024 with Over 100 People,” over 100 idols will appear in a one-night-only collaboration medley. In addition, in this year’s first new corner, “Laughter Comes After Tears – Hymn to Loved Ones 2024-”, the gorgeous performers will deliver an unprecedented collaboration.
