BLANKEY JET CITY completes their “latest MV” “Christmas and Black Boots” 24 years after their shocking disbandment

BLANKEY JET CITY’s first latest music video of this century has been completed. “Christmas and Black Boots”, which was recorded as a coupling between the 2nd album “BANG!” and the single “Winter Sweater”, is a BJC-style Christmas-themed song. It is also known as a masterpiece among fans.

The director this time was Toshiaki Toyoda, who has worked on numerous movies and music videos. The theme is Tokyo in the 1990s, and through off-shots of early BJC, the content is nostalgic, reminding us of the early days of rock and culture that ignited from there.

Titled “BLANKEY JET CITY LIVE ARCHIVES,” the five long-awaited masterpiece live performances are now available on Blu-ray for the first time in full HD up-conversion. It was announced that 2 titles will be released on February 26, 2025, and 3 titles will be released on April 30, 2025.

The lineup includes the 1st live video “DOG FOOD” (1992), “Angel Fish” (1994), which recorded the historic live performance at NHK Hall, and the first live video shoot held at Club Citta Kawasaki. “MONKEY STRIP” (1994), which includes “Are You” (1994), which includes the legendary Yoyogi Park free live “Happy?” (1995), and “BARRACUDA” (1998), a collection of the best performances from the latter half.
