The drama “Honnou Switch” (TV Asahi’s Oshidora Saturday slot / starting January 11, 2025) starring Kaito Miyachika (Travis Japan) and Wakana Aoi has started.
The popular work “Honno Switch” (published in KUJIRA/Kodansha’s “Comic Tint”), which has sold over 780,000 copies in print and electronically, is being adapted into a drama for the first time. Childhood friends who have been together since before they can remember, now as adults face their feelings that have been sealed away for many years and begin a “belated first love”…The most heartwarming pure love story will be born this winter.

I couldn’t wait to see when the first day would be, so I’m glad I was able to get started safely. At first, there were some staff members who were taking care of me for the first time, and I was wondering what it would be like. That said, I want to express Hijiri more and more aggressively from now on, so I got used to it quickly and was motivated to create good works with everyone on that day.
Aoi was really calm and took the acting seriously. It’s very easy to act, and it’s easy to be on set. I am also inspired by Aoi-san’s attitude, and I hope we can work together to create an atmosphere of Hijiri and Kowa.
Today was the start, so tomorrow will be the second day (lol), so there are really a lot of scenes waiting for us from now on. It is up to us to decide what approach we will take and how the work will be completed! Although I was nervous, I didn’t feel like I couldn’t sleep, and when I got to the first day, I was surprisingly okay. I didn’t know what the atmosphere would be like on set yet, so I was really excited, imagining what the atmosphere would be like and what Kowa’s room would be like. Now that filming has finally begun, I’m really looking forward to building relationships with the people who will be working with me in various scenes.
Today, Mr. Miyachika didn’t seem nervous at all from the first day, which I thought was amazing. He was a very flat and calm person. There hasn’t been a scene where we can have a detailed conversation yet, so I thought I’d like to try it out soon.
