■“Just by exchanging a word or two with Kazuyoshi in a play, I was able to understand his personality more clearly, or rather, I got to know him anew, so it was a wonderful time.” (Masaki Okada)
The music video for Kazuyoshi Saito’s latest song “Nai Na Glory Moon” has been released.
This song was newly written as the theme song for the exciting medical human drama “The Travel Nurse” (every Thursday from 9:00 pm), in which the “strongest nurse duo” of Masaki Okada and Kiichi Nakai reform the medical field by putting patients first. A song. It has been well-received as a song that powerfully yet gently wraps up the story at the end of a drama.
Masaki Okada, who stars in the drama, appears in the music video that was recently released. Saito gets into a taxi, acting as the driver, and looks relaxed inside the car while looking out at the city at night.
In addition, the scene in which he performs in front of a car parked in a taxi on a slightly urban rooftop parking lot under the moonlight is the most impressive work ever. This work was directed by Hiroshi Usui, who has worked on Kazuyoshi Saito’s live and video works.
■Kazuyoshi Saito Comment
I was very happy that Mr. Okada was able to appear on the show. I thought it was no longer necessary for me to appear.
I first met Mr. Okada when he was a teenager, so I was happy to be able to work with him again.
Although it is not another story of the drama, I would be happy if you could imagine various things while watching it.■Masaki Okada comment
I’ve always liked Kazuyoshi’s songs, so I was happy to be asked to sing the theme song for an important drama, and on top of that, I didn’t expect him to even invite me to the music video, so I hope he doesn’t disturb me too much. I did it carefully.
In terms of the setting, I was told that I could create images of myself between the time I finished work and the time I got home, so by actually listening to the music while taking pictures, I was able to relax little by little. I get the feeling that the song makes me feel lighter, and being able to feel that while filming was very comforting as it was similar to when I usually finish work.
I can understand the other person much better when I’m acting than when I’m telling a story, and it’s somehow true to my words, and just by exchanging a word or two with Kazuyoshi through acting, I can get a clearer sense of the person’s personality. It was a wonderful time to get to know him again.
