Toshinobu Kubota has a session with AI & Daichi Miura on the SP program “TOSHINOBU KUBOTA THE JAM”

■A music variety show with the theme of “real musicians playing freely with music”!

Toshinobu Kubota’s special program “TOSHINOBU KUBOTA THE JAM” will be broadcast on TV Asahi on December 14th and 21st.

The story is set in four shops (a record shop, an ice cream shop, a beauty salon, and a jazz bar) with slightly black working environments run by owners who love black music on a certain street in Tokyo. A music variety show with the theme of “Let’s play with music.”

This is the first time Kubota has taken on a fun challenge on a terrestrial TV program. Enjoy a new side of Kubota through his unique worldview and valuable sessions with guests.

■#1 features AI & Daichi Miura! Soulful singing and dancing performed in a harmonious session
Kubota, a useless part-time worker at a record shop, is late for his part-time job again today… Kubota is scolded by his senior part-time workers Shigeo Takahashi, Akane Hotta, and the owner Tomohito Yashima, but it doesn’t seem to be affecting him very much.

Putting work aside, Kubota is drawn into the ice cream shop by the beautiful harmonies he hears, and the first guest to appear in front of him is AI, Japan’s proud “QUEEN OF HIPHOP SOUL singer.”

Kubota, who has known about the existence of AI even before it became a big hit, reveals how he got started and also performed his famous song “Story” in an impromptu session. Afterwards, they moved to a jazz bar and had a session on Bill Withers’ famous song “Lean on Me,” showing an outstandingly harmonious performance.

Next, the person who came to the beauty salon was Daichi Miura, a super entertainer who continues to receive high praise for his natural singing voice and outstanding dancing skills.

Miura says he was greatly influenced by Michael Jackson. After seeing Michael and having a lively discussion about music with Miura, who said he aspired to be “the one and only person who can sing and dance,” Kubota, who was taught dance, went to a session at a jazz bar. Kubota performs “Ryusei no Saddle,” which he released in 1986, with his soulful singing voice and powerful dance.

■#2 features ENDRECHERI./Tsuyoshi Domoto and STUTS!
#2, which will air on December 21st, will feature an episode with .ENDRECHERI./Tsuyoshi Domoto, who visited a record shop, and STUTS, a producer/truck maker that Kubota met during a part-time break.

A must-see is Tsuyoshi’s discussion of funk music, which impressed Kubota. And STUTS, who is famous as an MPC player, played that famous song…
