“Paripi Komei” starring Osamu Mukai will be broadcast on Fuji TV’s Wednesday 10 drama slot in the fall of 2023. Zhuge Liang (Osamu Mukai), a genius tactician from the Three Kingdoms period in China, is reincarnated in modern-day Shibuya as a younger version, and falls in love with the singing voice of Eiko Tsukimi (Moka Kamishiraishi), an amateur singer who aspires to become a singer. It is a success story of thinking of a strategy like this, tearing down the walls that stand in your way like a tactician, and leading to success.
In addition to dramas, the film is based on a popular comic with a total circulation of over 2.4 million copies, which is currently being serialized in “Young Magazine” (Kodansha) and has been developed in various media such as animation and stage play. When the drama aired last year, it received a lot of attention for its rich characters, authentic songs, and live scenes, and received a huge response, with the final episode ranking No. 1 in SNS trends.
This work will be made into a movie next spring and will be expanded even further. Continuing from the drama, Shuhei Shibue will serve as director, and the production team of the same work will reunite. It has been decided that it will be released on April 25, 2025 as “Paripi Komei THE MOVIE”.
The story takes place at “Music Battle Hours 2025,” the largest music battle festival in history, where Japan’s three major music labels compete for the top spot.
Osamu Mukai, Moka Kamishiraishi, Dean Fujioka as Liu Bei, Komei’s lord, and Mirai Moriyama as Kobayashi, the owner of BB Lounge, who hits it off with Komei, who has been reincarnated in the present day, will continue to appear in the drama.
