■“In fact, everyone in Travis Japan is stupid, or rather, everyone is dangerous!” (Genta Matsuda)
Travis Japan’s new show “Travis Japan’s Variety Day!!” will be broadcast every Wednesday at 24:54 on Chukyo TV starting January 22, 2025.
Following the previous work, “Travis Japan’s Dance!!”, which had a “dance” theme, the members will now take on the challenge of improving their “variety” skills. The program will be local to the Tokai area, but distribution is also planned.
■The birth of an “artistic variety show” brought to you by Travis Japan!
Travis Japan is active on the world stage with his overwhelming dancing and singing. They are pursuers of entertainment and live on stage, so what lies ahead in their path is “variety performance.”
In this program, Travis Japan challenges, worries, talks about, and performs variety shows that are considered classics and classics, such as “What’s in the Box?”, “Wasabi Sushi”, and “Denki Bilibili”. It is an “artistic variety show” that shows Travis Japan acquiring new performance weapons under the watchful eye of guest entertainers.
The program was moderated by announcer Genta Aoki, and comedian Nagano participated as the first guest.
Also, the narration continues from the previous work, “Love Live! Nagisa Aoyama, who plays the role of Koi Hazuki in “Superstar!!”, will be in charge.
■Report on the first recording! Even behind the scenes, “It’s a lot of fun!”
One day in December, before the recording, the key visual for the program was shot. Travis Japan held standard variety props such as “Harisen” and “Pico Pico Hammer” in his hands, and his face looked perfect in front of the camera. After the shooting, the members were seen playing around with each other with props in hand.
And on to the first recording. The members, who formed a circle on the side of the stage, were in high spirits and said, “Can we start ‘Travis Japan’s variety show!!’? I agree!” They appeared on a stage that looked like a live house, and performed the “JUST DANCE!” dance as a greeting, which drew cheers from the audience.
With such a good start, Travis Japan’s first theme was “What’s inside the box?” In addition to making the audience laugh with their reactions, this program also requires idols to have the “element of excitement” that can excite the audience. The recording ended with great excitement, and the members were excited even backstage, saying, “It’s so much fun!”
■Genta Matsuda, who is currently gaining popularity as a “stupid character”, says, “I might be the most solid one.”
At the interview held on the same day, the topic was “Who is most likely to play an active role in the program?” and a “point-to-point vote” was held. Kaito Matsukura recommended, saying, “I chose Umi (Kaito Nakamura). I like the fact that her reactions are honest and loud,” and Kaito Miyachika expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m Anna Aoki! She helped me in many ways.” Ta.
Meanwhile, the top ties were Kanya Yoshizawa and Tatsuya Shichigosankake. Yoshizawa, who performs gags everywhere, says positively, “Even when he’s sloppy, he’s funny!”, and Nakamura gives him a passionate look, saying, “I want him to bloom even more!”
In addition, Shichigosankake, who was expected by everyone to overturn her “cute” image, said enthusiastically, “If I come up with my own gag on the program, I might perform it at the concert.”
Seeing the members eager to take on the challenge of variety shows, Genta Matsuda, who is currently making his mark with the role of “idiot characters,” appealed to their potential by saying, “In Travis Japan, all of them are idiots, or rather, they’re all dangerous!” He showed confidence (?) and said, “Maybe I’m the strongest.”
Even in between recordings, the members showed their idol faces, waving to the audience and smiling.
