SixTONES’ Kyomoto Taiga reveals his favorite scene from the drama “Omukae Shibuya-kun”

■In episode 10, the love between Shibuya-kun (Kyomoto Taiga), who always puts his all into everything, and Aika (Tanabe Momoko) reaches a turning point, which leads to an unexpected situation!

The 10th episode of Kansai TV/Fuji TV’s Tuesday Drama Eleven “Omukae Shibuya-kun” (every Tuesday from 11pm), starring Kyomoto Taiga (SixTONES), will be broadcast on June 4th.

In episode 9, Shibuya-kun (Kyomoto Taiga) and Aika (Tanabe Momoko) are finally a couple and start living together. Shibuya-kun is filled with joy as he spends sweet time with Aika in the apartment, and he becomes more and more successful. However, because he is a beginner in love, he tries too hard to be perfect in love, work, and family, and in the last scene, he finally collapses from overexertion.

In the 10th episode, which aired on June 4th, it turns out that Shibuya-kun has passed an audition for a world-famous movie director (Chance Oshiro). As he had just collapsed from overwork, he should have declined the role and recuperated, but he doesn’t listen to his manager Kyoko’s (Hasegawa Kyoko) advice and goes ahead with the role with extraordinary determination.

However, as expected, Shibuya-kun is busier than ever, and although he doesn’t show it on the surface, he is exhausted both physically and mentally, and he seeks healing, and his desire to see his beloved Aika grows stronger and stronger. Normally, according to the theory of love, “time apart fosters love,” but at that time, Aika is facing a problem that could affect her life, rather than fostering love… a development that foreshadows turmoil.

Even after becoming lovers, Shibuya’s feelings for Aika continue to grow stronger, and his straightforward feelings have captured the hearts of viewers. Meanwhile, Aika, while accepting Shibuya’s love that is so overwhelming that it seems too much for her, has a strong sense of responsibility for her work and wants to protect the smiles of children more than anything else.

In episode 10, the love between the two, who are always trying their best, reaches a certain point, which leads to an unexpected situation. Don’t miss the sad expressions on the faces of the two as they face the pain of love, which is unimaginable from when they were in love with each other.

In addition, the second part of the “What is your favorite scene from ‘Omukae Shibuya-kun’?” poll was released, in which the cast members selected their favorite scenes from all 12 episodes. The scenes chosen by Kyomoto Taiga, Naito Shuichiro, Morobayashi Mei, Otoha, and Hasegawa Kyoko are as follows:

■ Kyomoto Taiga (actor, playing the role of Shibuya Taikai)
I liked the scene where I talk to Aika-sensei on the beach at the end of the story from the moment I read the script, but when I actually acted it out, I liked it even more. A few days before filming, the director repeatedly pressured me saying, “I’m counting on you to do that scene!”, so I was nervous (laughs), but I went in with the hope that it would be a memorable scene for the viewers.

■ Shuichiro Naito (actor, playing the role of Ryuhei Kanda)
I like the scenes with Mai. Of course I also like the scenes with Ohmi, but with Mai I don’t have to hide my feelings, so I feel like both myself and Kanda are able to act freely, and that’s why it’s my favorite scene. I also love all the scenes with Kanda.

■ Mei Morobayashi (Shibuya-kun’s younger sister, Shibuya Nemu)
My favorite scene is the last scene at home. Nii-nii’s smile was beautiful, and I was so happy to be able to say the lines with the feeling of “Thank you always!” I love you and Mommy!

■ Otoha (Shibuya-kun’s mother, Shibuya Haruka)
The most memorable scene was when the Shibuya family walked home on the bank after the school’s founding festival in episode 2. It was an important scene in which Shibuya-kun realized that he loved Aika-sensei after Rhythm-chan told him that she loved him, and it was impressive to see the trees sparkling in the setting sun.

■ Kyoko Hasegawa (Shibuya and Kanda’s manager, Kyoko Shinagawa)
In episode 9, there was a scene where Aika-sensei talked about how Hibiki and Ohmi met. I think the audience got to know the background of Hibiki, who is always cheerful and proactive, and also got to understand her feelings for Ohmi. That’s why I like this scene.

■ Episode 10 Story
Shibuya-kun (Kyomoto Taiga) collapses from overwork. Aika (Tanabe Momoko) hears from Kanda (Naito Shuichiro) at the hospital where he has been carrying the weight of his work, love and family all on his own. She blames herself for not realizing that Shibuya-kun was pushing himself too hard.

After being released from the hospital, Shibuya-kun is called by Kyoko (Hasegawa Kyoko) along with Kanda, who informs him that they both passed the audition for Director Kuroishi (Chance Oshiro) held in Kyoto. However, due to his poor health and the fact that filming for the sequel to the TV drama series is also about to begin, Kyoko advises Shibuya-kun to decline. Still, Shibuya-kun decides to appear in the film, knowing that he cannot miss this chance to take flight into the world.

Busy days start again, and it becomes difficult for Shibuya-kun and Aika to meet except when Nemu (Mei Morobayashi) goes to kindergarten. Aika finds out on the news that Shibuya-kun will be appearing in Director Kuroishi’s latest film, and while she is happy, she is also worried that Shibuya-kun will push himself too hard again.

At the same time, Otomu’s mental state was becoming increasingly unstable in proportion to Shibuya-kun’s busy schedule. And finally, Otomu’s stress reached a peak and she started causing some trouble at the nursery school. Aika felt a strong sense of responsibility for this…
