■Quiz show where the answerer says, “You won’t know the correct answer unless you go there” “The correct answer is on site” will be aired on January 2, 2025!
Yomiuri Television/Nippon Television’s New Year’s special program “The correct answer is locally”, with Shingo Katori serving as MC, will be broadcast from 11:59 PM on January 2, 2025. The questions that will be asked in the program and the answerers have been revealed.
“The Correct Answer Is Local” is about popular comedians who are suddenly asked a quiz that you can’t know the correct answer to unless you go to the site, and they head straight to the “local area” in search of the correct answer that cannot be found even after searching on the internet. A new type of “too analog” quiz documentary program in which you search for the correct answer.
The unique trio of MC Katori, Hiromasa Yashiki (New York) & MEGUMI will watch the location VTR and liven up the program.
The three people who witnessed all the answers praised the comedians’ hard work, saying, “It’s really amazing,” and “It was a great opportunity to see their lives.” Let’s look forward to the broadcast.
Comment after recording
■Shingo Katori
The “Quick Quiz” was good. Isn’t this the time when people prefer everything short? I don’t think that’s the case, but this time’s “Quick Quiz” was really short, had a good tempo, and was really fun. Recommended.■MEGUMI
As expected, the people who appeared on location were elderly people in the Edo period (everyone burst out laughing). There aren’t many people like that today who are working hard early in the morning. But it’s not just funny, it’s a video that makes you feel a lot of things that will make you cry, so I’d like you to watch the lives of the brothers.■New York Yashiki Hiromasa
I would like young comedians to see it. The location comedians were all old men, which really struck me as if there was a hidden theme. I guess everyone is doing their best. I think you’ll feel better after the New Year.■Hiroya Ueda (director/producer)
All the answerers who went to the field worked really hard, so please take a look at their efforts. On the other hand, the three people in the studio who are watching the hard location VTR have a very relaxed atmosphere and are heartwarming, so I hope the viewers can watch the program as casually as the three people.

■[Question 1]Cebu Island in the Philippines is a popular destination for New Year holidays. Among the “diving people” who live on this island, what treasure did the most skilled hunter find in the sea?
An answer table was suddenly set up. The person who appeared there was the hamburger master, Speedwagon Idota Jun. The question posed to Idota was, “What treasure did the most skilled hunter among the diving tribes living in Cebu Island find in the sea?” Idoda is confused by the sudden event and asks, “What is this…?”, but he answers, “The legendary three-pronged spear.” He then asks for the answer to the quiz, saying, “The correct answer is…on-site!” and decides to go straight to the site. It is said that on Cebu Island in the Philippines, there is a diving tribe that roams freely on the ocean floor for long periods of time. What is the treasure found at the bottom of the sea that ordinary people cannot tread on?
Idoda left for the field at 8am the next morning. When they arrived in Cebu and interviewed the locals, they discovered that the name of the diving tribe was the Bajau tribe. After gathering information and finally 21 hours after the question was asked, they discovered the Bajau people, a diving tribe. Idoda witnesses the Bajau’s diving ability, which has attracted the attention of trainees from all over the world. Then, they offer him the fish he caught, and Idoda heads to the Bajau village. There, he meets the number one hunter of the Bajau tribe.
Katori, Yashiki, and MEGUMI, who were watching in the studio, couldn’t help but comment, “Idota-san is amazing” and “I saw something good.” Pay attention to the correct answer to the quiz that Idoda found on site.
■[Question 2]How many times should I ride the roller coaster to dry my hair after taking a bath?
4:30 in the morning. The person who appeared at the answer table was Hiking Walking Suzuki Qtaro. The question posed to Q-Taro as a “quick punch quiz” that lets you know the correct answer as soon as the question is asked is, “How many times should I ride the roller coaster to dry my hair after taking a bath?”
Q-Taro, confused by the question that was suddenly asked at 4:30 in the morning, said, “I’ll sort it out once more,” and answered, “Five times!” Of course, the correct answer is… locally.
Q-Taro went straight to the location. Three hours after the exam, I arrived at Fuji-Q Highland. The ride to dry your hair is FUJIYAMA, the strongest roller coaster that holds four Guinness records. Q-taro is relieved to hear that according to the calculations of experts, “three times is enough.” I wet my hair on the spot and towel dried it before getting on the train. What is the answer…!?
■[Question 3]If you were to say the names of stations on the Yamanote Line starting from Tokyo Station on the highest bungee jump in Japan, which station would you be able to say before falling?
The person who appeared at the answer table was “that comedian with his distinctive long hair.” I asked the answerer this question. “If you go on the highest bungee jump in Japan and say the names of stations on the Yamanote Line starting from Tokyo Station, which station can you say before falling?” The “local” location for this quiz is Gifu. Go straight to Gifu, Japan’s highest bungee jump.
When they arrived at the site, they hesitated because of the height, which was equivalent to the height of a 65-story building, thinking, “I might not be able to fly.” Even in the studio, we were shocked at how harsh the location was, saying, “This is tough…” What is the result…!?
■[Question 4]What is the item that lies at the bottom of Japan’s deepest well?
At 6 a.m., Dennis Ueno Yukio appeared at the answer table. Ueno, who is also a colleague at the mansion, was suddenly asked a question: “What is the item that lies at the bottom of the deepest well in Japan?” Ueno was confused by the sudden event and said, “Is this a TV show? I don’t even understand that.” Although he was confused, he answered, “It’s a jewel left behind by pirates.” The correct answer is…locally.
“I really don’t understand anything!” a confused Ueno went straight to his hometown of Kagawa. Five hours after the question was given, I arrived at the site. When you look into Japan’s deepest well, which was built in the early Edo period, you can’t see the bottom at all. There is also a legend that there may be human bones left at the bottom of the well. Using a small camera, we used a small camera to infiltrate the bottom of a well that no one, including the staff managing the well, had ever seen before. What was sleeping at the bottom of Japan’s deepest well…!?
