■“If there is “song” in this world and you are here, then I am sure there will be nothing to be afraid of” (Southern All Stars)
On January 1, 2025, as a new year begins, we received a message from the Southern All Stars.
Southern All Stars’ activities in 2024 are still fresh in our minds, including their album announcement, digital release of new songs, and their last summer festival appearance. But the real thing starts here. In March 2025, their 16th and latest original album “THANK YOU SO MUCH” will be released for the first time in 10 years.
On Keisuke Kuwata’s regular radio program, it has been said that the album will be completed soon, but prior to the album’s release, he will be holding an arena and dome tour starting in Ishikawa on January 11th, with 26 performances in 13 locations nationwide. is opening. Southern’s trends are attracting more and more attention.
Meanwhile, on January 1st, a full year has passed since the Noto Peninsula earthquake that caused deep sadness throughout Japan. As the new year begins, a message has arrived from the Southern All Stars.
The new song “Sakura, Hirari”, which is scheduled to be included in the album “THANK YOU SO MUCH”, will be distributed on various music streaming services and download sites from January 1st.
“Sakura, Hirari” is a song that received the most response on SNS among the new songs that have been aired on Kuwata’s regular radio “Kuwata Keisuke’s Easy Night Play” since November 2024. Set to a sound like a lightly blowing spring breeze, it depicts awe and mourning for the natural disasters that sometimes strike mercilessly, and hope for new life that will surely sprout someday, overlaid on the ephemeral yet beautiful “cherry blossoms.” It’s a pop number. The song was released in advance of a nationwide tour starting from Ishikawa on January 11th, as a way to pay tribute to the areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred in January 2024.
The song’s cover art, which was released at the same time as the song’s release, uses a photo taken by Southern All Stars. The lyrics are also available on the album’s special website, so listen to the song, read the lyrics, and get a feel for the feelings put into this song.
In addition, the official visualizer of the song will also be released on the Southern All Stars official YouTube channel. This is also worth checking out.
In their New Year’s message, Southern All Stars touched on the 2024 New Year’s Earthquake, and while asking themselves what they can do as musicians, they wrote that their goal is to “make music and deliver it to everyone.” Let’s look forward to the release of the upcoming new original album “THANK YOU SO MUCH” and the arrival of wonderful spring.

Today marks the 7th year of Reiwa. Many things have happened in the more than 46 years that we have been working together with you.
We cannot resist the natural disasters and social problems that sometimes attack us mercilessly.
I cannot forget that on this day last year, the whole of Japan was covered in deep sadness.“What can we do?”
I believe that it all boils down to “creating music and delivering it to everyone.”Southern All Stars will release an original album in March.
There is also the Peach Festival, and it is also the season when we wish our children a wonderful future. As a musician, I would like to be able to help you become happy, even if just a little bit.
If there is “song” in this world and you are here, I’m sure I won’t be afraid of anything…whatever.
