■Hakone Ekiden Comprehensive V/Aoyama Gakuin University Track & Field Club + DASH Team takes on the challenge of the Mt. Fuji Foothills Electric Railway in a relay race!
“Ultraman DASH 2025 Winter Special” will be broadcast on Nippon Television from 7pm on January 5th.
In “Ultraman DASH”, “Japan’s top-notch athlete = Ultraman” takes on extremely difficult missions in everyday life in order to save himself from a sudden crisis. This program will feature three consecutive missions with the highest difficulty ever: relay race, soccer, and archery.
◇Shinji Ono is the first in Soccer Mission history! Challenge the highest difficulty mission
The “Soccer Amazing Technique Challenge” is synonymous with Ultraman DASH, which has caused many miracles. Shinji Ono, who has been active in Japan and overseas for 26 years and retired at the age of 44 in 2023, will take on the first mission in Ultraman DASH history. He traps the incoming ball in a small space and aims for the goal at the bus window 30 meters away.
Although he has appeared on Ultraman DASH twice in the past, he has yet to succeed… Will he be able to clear the most difficult mission in the program’s history with his brilliant techniques and accurate kicks!? Then, a shocking development occurs in front of Taichi Kokubun (TOKIO). …!?
■Shinji Ono comment
This is my third attempt. I’ve failed twice in the past, and I want to succeed this time, but it’s a much more difficult mission than the previous Soccer Challenges. It’s been 12 years and it’s the first time in history… Honestly for the third time, please check it out.
◇No failures in the past 5 attempts! Will archery genius Takaharu Furukawa hit an invisible target?
Archer Ultraman Takaharu Furukawa, who won three medals in six consecutive Olympic Games and retired from active duty in 2024, will be participating in Ultraman DASH for the sixth time! Furukawa has succeeded in all missions so far, but this time he struggles with the most difficult mission ever!?
The target is a pickled plum in the middle of a loaf of bread flying out of a toaster 20 meters away. The target is visible for only 0.6 seconds. Will Furukawa, a man who never fails, survive that moment?
■Takaharu Furukawa comment
This time, I couldn’t see the target at all, so this is my 6th attempt, but it’s definitely the most difficult challenge I’ve ever taken. It was difficult to make adjustments in comma increments of less than 1 second.
◇Can the Hakone Ekiden Comprehensive V/Aoyama Gakuin University Track and Field Club + DASH team defeat the strongest train ever, the Fujisanroku Electric Railway, in the relay race?
Aoyama Gakuin University Track & Field Club, which won the 101st Hakone Ekiden in 2025 for the 8th time in a row, will be participating! In Tetsuwan DASH’s famous event, “Relay Showdown,” the Seigaku Track and Field Club, which has a track record of winning against the “Watarase Keikoku Railway” in the past, will take on the even higher-performance “Mt. Fuji Foothills Electric Railway.” In addition to Seigaku’s strongest members such as Asahi Kuroda, winner of the 2nd section and section new Hakone Ekiden, and Soo Ota, winner of the 4th section and section award, DASH members include Yutaka Yokoyama (SUPER EIGHT), Joichiro Fujiwara (Naniwa Danshi), and Shigeru Jojima ( TOKIO) is also running for the first time in two years. Yutaka Yokoyama: “I want people to pay attention to the leader’s spirited face.” How will the battle turn out?
Additionally, the data broadcast will feature a “MISSION quiz” where you can win a program original QUO card. There will be gorgeous gifts that you can apply for depending on the number of participants! Please refer to the program website for details.
