■“KANEBO”s new brand commercial “I HOPE.” shows a dance full of life that transcends the title of “idol”
Yagi Toa, a member of Aozora I Wanted to See (commonly known as Boku Ao) and the center for four consecutive releases since their debut single, is the founder of KANEBO, a brand that sends out hope, not beauty. Appeared in the new brand commercial “I HOPE.” Their spectacular dance performance has become a hot topic.
Yagi, who will be appearing in a commercial for the first time as a solo artist, boasts the best dance skills of the group and posts dance videos mainly on TikTok. The total number of views of the dance videos posted on SNS so far has exceeded 22 million times, and not only fans of the group but also fans of the group have commented, “The dance is too cool,” “I was stunned,” and “It’s on a different level.” He has received praise from professionals and the media from all over.
Utilizing her natural dance skills, she attempted innovative choreography using mirrors in the commercial. With a strong gaze and fierce choreography that make it seem as if her personality has changed, she performs powerful, lively dances that transcend her usual title of “idol.”
The commercial, which was created with the concept of depicting the courage, will, and hope that can be brought out through the use of makeup, features Yagi as well as Sena Nakajima, Shara Rajma, Mendy Sekiguchi, and more, with over 100 people in total. It is a magnificent video composed of performers.

First of all, I would like to once again express my gratitude to Hitoshi Yagi for participating in this commercial.
The reason why we offered Ms. Yagi to perform this time was not only because of her wonderful dance skills, but also because of her strong “eye.” I discovered that there was an extraordinary moment in Mr. Yagi’s “eyes” that could be glimpsed when watching dance videos that have become a hot topic in music videos and TikTok, and the moment when the sudden change in his gaze and the movement of his body combined, I remember feeling something like the dazzling “light” that is the motif of this commercial. I believe that this is a message from her creator, and from a 17-year-old living in today’s era, that we are able to imprint this message on this film.
Copy: “We don’t sell eyeshadow.” So what exactly are you aiming for?
Thank you very much for your wonderful performance that answered that question.■Hitai Yagi comment
I was happy to be able to use my love of dance to work on such a wonderful work.
My first time shooting a commercial alone. Although I was looking forward to it, I was also a little nervous, but the staff and the atmosphere on set were so warm that I was able to experience the joy of dancing freely while filming. I have definitely gotten better at using mirrors! !
When I saw the completed commercial, I felt like I was given courage. I felt that through cosmetics, they are affirming that we can be ourselves and giving us hope as we live in the future.
I hope that my presence in the video will be of some help to those who watch this commercial.
Thank you very much.
