LE SSERAFIM・HUH YUNJIN releases 5th self-composed song "jellyfish" & also releases MV composed of illustrations and handwritten letters

LE SSERAFIM’s HUH YUNJIN released the sound source and music video for his fifth self-composed song “jellyfish” on January 10th at 6pm.

“Jellyfish” is a song that gives a glimpse of HUH YUNJIN’s thoughts as he pursues his own individuality as a musician. It’s an R&B song with an attractive acoustic guitar melody, and it has a fantastical atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re wandering in a dream, and the lyrics depict the image of jellyfish swimming in the deep sea in real life.

HUH YUNJIN believes that jellyfish are creatures that live fluidly, doing their best even in rough seas, and she has incorporated her own experience of receiving healing from jellyfish, which live well in difficult environments, into her music.

The MV consists of illustrations by Mareykrap, an artist who worked with BTS, JUNG KOOK, SEVENTEEN, etc., and handwritten letters by HUH YUNJIN. The picture depicting jellyfish and the sea harmonizes with HUH YUNJIN’s soft singing voice.

In addition, the dark colors that make you feel like you are in the depths of the ocean and the lyrics included in the video create a fairy tale-like atmosphere. All of the handwritten letters included in the MV were written by HUH YUNJIN himself, and he carefully handwritten the lyrics with the hope that “jellyfish” would bring comfort to the listeners.

HUH YUNJIN said, “I thought that the daily life of living hard can be beautiful to someone else, and just like the jellyfish was to me, some people can heal the people around them just by existing.” That’s why I wanted to convey the message, “My presence can be a source of healing for someone, so even if I’m out of breath, let’s swim as hard as we can and understand each other’s beauty,” he said of his reason for creating the song.

HUH YUNJIN was named as the main producer of the song “Crazier” included in LE SSERAFIM’s 4th mini album “CRAZY”, and since his debut, he has released songs such as “I ≠ DOLL”, “love you twice”, and “blessing”, starting with “Raise y_our glass”. He released his own compositions such as “in disguise”. With this release of “jellyfish”, he showed his growth as a musician.
