Hitsuji Bungaku x "Shaun the Sheep" dream collaboration begins! "I think we've created a really laid-back and cute rock song."

■The English cover of Hitsuji Bungaku’s “Shaun the Sheep (Life’s a Treat)” is being released simultaneously worldwide!

A collaboration project between Hitsuji Literature and the British clay animation “Shaun the Sheep” was launched on June 6th, “Sheep Day.”

The theme song of “Shaun the Sheep”, “Shaun the Sheep (Life’s a Treat) (English Cover)”, covered by Hitsuji Bungaku, was released simultaneously worldwide on various music distribution services from June 6th.

The key visual was created by popular illustrator Yu Fukagawa, known for his soft touch, and expresses the unique worldview of the song.

In addition to this collaboration, new merchandise and places to visit will also be available to celebrate “Sheep Day.” A special project has begun to allow people to enjoy “Shaun the Sheep” even more.

Collaboration goods using this art will be available for pre-sale at the Shaun the Sheep Shop, which opens on ZOZOTOWN on June 26th.

By combining the best parts of “Shaun the Sheep” and our songs, we were able to create a very laid-back and cute rock song that has a different feel from the songs we usually play. Please enjoy listening to it.

I drew this with the hope that it would serve as a bridge between the innocence of “Shaun the Sheep” and the atmospheric worldview of sheep literature.
The moment I listened to the song I realized those thoughts were unfounded, but I would be happy if I could add color to the intersecting two worlds.
The period during which we worked with so many professionals to create something towards completion was stimulating and enjoyable.

We are very excited about the first collaboration between Shaun the Sheep and the Japanese rock band Hitsuji Bungaku! When we all heard the special cover of Shaun the Sheep’s theme song “Life’s a Treat,” cheers erupted throughout the studio. The cover by the three members of Hitsuji Bungaku is a very unique and fun arrangement of a well-known song, so we hope that fans around the world will enjoy it.
