Penthouse's "Nonsense" has been selected as the opening song for the drama "Himitsu ~THE TOP SECRET~" starring Ri Mitsuto Itagaki and Yuto Nakajima

Penthouse’s new song “Nonsense” has been selected as the opening song for the Kantele/Fuji TV drama “Himitsu~THE TOP SECRET~”, which will begin airing on January 20th at 10pm.

This drama, starring Ri Mitsuto Itagaki and Yuto Nakajima, is based on Reiko Shimizu’s manga “Top Secret” and “Secret Season 0” (serialized in Hakusensha’s “Melody”). Set in the Ninth Forensic Laboratory of the National Police Research Institute, commonly known as the Ninth, the story uses special MRI technology that can reproduce the deceased’s memories before they were alive as images to unravel the truth of cases that were thought to be unsolvable. It’s a great human suspense.

The new song “Nonsense” written specifically for the drama is an up-tune that adds a mysterious touch to the beginning of such a thrilling drama. The result is a song that lets you fully enjoy the “city soul” feeling that Penthouse promotes, bursting with the powerful power of the twin lead vocals and horn section. The lyrics were co-written by Shintaro Namioka (Vo&Gu) and Takuma Ohara (Bass), and the aggressive choice of words is impressive.

In addition, it has been decided that the song will be released on January 20th, the date of the drama’s first broadcast. At the same time, the jacket photo and MV teaser video were also released.

Additionally, a listening party will be held on January 20th from 0:00 a.m. on X (formerly Twitter), and a YouTube livestream to commemorate the release will be held from 11:00 p.m.
