The serial killer finally appears!? In episode 9 of the drama "Promise: The Truth of the 16th Year," starring Anne Nakamura and Yu Yokoyama, the story finally gets to the heart of the matter.

The 9th episode “Reversal” of the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV platinum night Thursday drama “Promise: The Truth of the 16th Year,” starring Anne Nakamura and featuring Yokoyama Yu (SUPER EIGHT), will be broadcast on June 6th.

In episode 8, “Sacrifice,” the truth behind the death of the former partner that Kosaka (Yokoyama) was pursuing is revealed, and his classmate Ide (Mori Yusaku) turns himself in to the police as a serial killer.

The gripping, fast-paced storyline has caused a huge reaction on social media, with comments such as “It was thrilling,” “This week was so interesting! I’m at the mercy of it all,” and “This is the drama of the season I most want to watch in real time.”

And, despite being a late-night drama, episodes 7 and 8 have been ranked 2nd on TVer’s general and drama rankings for two consecutive weeks. The excitement is building towards the final episode.

In the 9th episode “Reversal” to be broadcast on June 6th, Ide’s interrogation finally begins. What is the truth that will be told? And what is the true identity of the devil? One by one, the truth is revealed, and the story finally reaches the core of the case…

■ Episode 9 Synopsis
Aoi (Nakamura Anne) searches the general store run by Ide (Mori Yusaku), a serial killer who has turned himself in.
There was evidence that confirmed Ide’s crimes. During questioning, Ide admitted to all of the crimes, but…

Although Aoi was a classmate of Ide in high school, she can’t think of any connection between them.

It was thought that the serial killer’s motive was his obsession with Aoi, but Aoi, not understanding the reason for his obsession with Aoi, interrogates Ide and asks him the reason for his obsession with her.

Meanwhile, Kosaka (Yokoyama Yuu) pursues Arimura (Sugimoto Tetta), who has fled with his son Jun (Okuno So).

Ide confesses the details of the incident, but his obsession with Aoi remains a mystery. Kosaka then begins interrogating Ide. Ide suddenly asks a quiz, toying with Aoi, Kosaka, and the others.
