NEWS releases new album “JAPANEWS” and plans to hold a tour! Official YouTube channel also launched

■NEWS to release 14th album “JAPANEWS” on July 24th!

NEWS has announced that they will release their 14th album “JAPANEWS” on July 24th. Details of the “NEWS LIVE TOUR 2024 JAPANEWS” tour to promote the album, which will begin in August, have also been announced.

This work, which has the word JAPAN in the title, is a music piece like a “Japanese guidebook” with a theme of “Japan.” CDDISC1 unfolds the world of “JAPANEWS” constructed with new songs and a new story, and CDDISC2 contains a coupling best album reconstructed by the three members from songs selected from the “NEWS Coupling Song Vote 2024” held in 2024.

In addition, as bonus footage, the first edition A will include the music video and making of “JAPANEWS” and a special movie titled “ARTWORK PHOTO behind the scenes,” while the first edition B will include live footage from the outdoor rock festival “METROCK2024 OSAKA” that they appeared at in May along with a valuable documentary.

The official NEWS YouTube channel, which was launched at the same time, has released a teaser video with a light piano melody and the members calling out the title, hinting at a new beginning, as well as 47 short videos featuring various Japanese motifs in a pictogram-like style.

NEWS will celebrate its 21st anniversary in 2024. The story that began with their debut song “NEWS Nippon” will be reborn into a new phase with this new work “JAPANEWS”. This summer, expectations are high for an encounter with the spectacular scenery of “Japan” created by NEWS.
