The music video for YOASOBI’s “Yusha” has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.

“Yuusha” was written as the opening theme for the first season of the TV anime “Funeral of Frieren,” which began airing in September 2023. It was created based on a novel written under the supervision of Yamada Kanehito, the original author of “Funeral of Frieren.” It expresses the somewhat lonely and melancholy atmosphere depicted in the work and the changing emotions of the main character Frieren, creating a song that evokes the new beginning of the story.

The music video was produced by Madhouse, the same company that produced the TV anime “Funeral of Frieren,” and is entirely made up of original animation from “Funeral of Frieren.” It is impressive with its depiction of the four “brave party” members, Frieren, hero Himmel, monk Heiter, and warrior Eisen, traveling, the bond between Frieren and Himmel, who has a great influence on her, and occasional cutout-like scenes.
