■Will Sena (Haruna Kawaguchi) be able to overcome her past when she realizes that her ex-lover Ui (Kei Tanaka) still exists in her heart?
The second episode of Nippon Television’s Saturday drama 10 “Ensemble” (every Saturday from 10pm) will be broadcast on January 25th. Prior to the broadcast, the synopsis, scene photos, and preview video of the second episode were released.
“Ensemble” is about Sena Koyama, a “realistic” female lawyer played by Haruna Kawaguchi, and Yu Madohara, an “idealistic” new lawyer played by Hokuto Matsumura (SixTONES), as they take on various court cases involving love problems. A bright and slightly sad legal love story in which people apply the “lessons of love” to their own love lives.
■Episode 2 synopsis
As it begins to snow, Sena (Haruna Kawaguchi) reunites with her ex-girlfriend, Shuya Ui (Kei Tanaka). She immediately leaves the place, but she realizes that Ui’s presence still remains in her heart.
Madohara (Hokuto Matsumura) appears in front of Sena again. Madohara, who was fired from his previous firm, joins Takanashi Law Office. After an unexpected reunion, Sena teams up with Madohara and decides to take on a new project.
The client is Koji Kaneki (Masaki Kaji), an office worker. The request is “I want to claim compensation for my wife Mayumi’s (Aiki Reika) cheating on me 10 years ago.” When Kaneki, whose marriage has deteriorated, consulted him about the risk of divorce, a co-worker who felt pity provided him with “photos of him having an affair from 10 years ago.”
The photo evidence of Mayumi entering a hotel with a man seems to be from 10 years ago, and as the lawsuit progresses smoothly, Sena stops by her alma mater (university) with Madohara. There, she meets Ui again.
At the urging of their instructor, Sena and Ui decide to watch nostalgic footage from when they were dating. The two speak for the first time in eight years, and their hearts grow a little closer, and Ui asks Sena to talk about what really happened when they broke up.
Meanwhile, Madohara consults Sena and says, “I’m curious as to why Kaneki is asking for alimony rather than divorce.” Sena replies that it is true that Mayumi was cheating on her and that there was no reason.
Despite being together for 10 years, Madohara feels uncomfortable with Kaneki’s attitude of strongly denying the past, and asks Sena to investigate further, but Sena reminds him of his heartbreak eight years ago. I understand how Kaneki feels, thinking that the time he has spent up until now has been a waste,” he says, closing his heart.
Madohara conducts an independent investigation for his client and Sena. Then, she notices the difference between the photographic evidence of the affair and Kaneki’s testimony…
Will the two of them arrive at the “truth”? And will Sena be able to overcome her past?
