Kyomoto Taiga (SixTONES) has been confirmed to make a guest appearance on the 15th episode of “Live! Yoshio Inoue Musical Hour “Yoshio’s Mu”,” which will be aired on WOWOW from 10pm on July 10th.
“Live Broadcast! Yoshio Inoue Musical Hour “Yoshio’s Mu”” is a musical program by WOWOW and Yoshio Inoue. WOWOW, which has been a big supporter of musicals, has collaborated with Yoshio Inoue, one of Japan’s most renowned entertainers. Inoue himself said, “I want to spread the greatness of musicals to more people” and “I want people to come to the theater”, so this talk and music show is a live broadcast that delivers the latest in musicals.
Kyomoto Taiga has also been confirmed to appear as a special supporter of the program at the “Live! 77th Annual Tony Awards Ceremony” on June 17th, making this his second consecutive month of appearing on WOWOW’s live broadcasts.
Inoue and Kyomoto first appeared together in the musical “Elisabeth” in 2015 as Tod and Rudolf, and then also appeared together in the revivals in 2016 and 2019. They have a deep connection in musicals, with Kyomoto playing roles that Inoue has played in the past, such as Rudolf in the musical “Elisabeth,” Guy in the musical “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg,” and Wolfgang Mozart in the musical “Mozart!”
The program will feature a look back at the Tony Awards, where they both appeared, Kyomoto’s thoughts on “Mozart!”, and other valuable talks that can only be heard here with Inoue. There will also be a singing performance, and more information will be announced at a later date.
Kyomoto is a member of SixTONES and has appeared in concerts, stage plays, and numerous video works. He is currently starring in the drama “Omukae Shibuya-kun” (Kantele/Fuji TV), and his first lead role in the film “Ienai Himitsu” will be released on June 28th. In addition, in stage and musicals, he played the role of Crown Prince Rudolf in the musical “Elisabeth” in 2015, 2016, and 2019. After that, he starred in the Broadway musical “Newsies” in 2021, the original musical “Ryusei no Neiro” in 2022, and “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” in 2023. In addition, in August 2024, he was selected as a double cast member to play the role of Wolfgang Mozart in the musical “Mozart!”, and it has been decided that he will star for the first time at the Imperial Theater. WOWOW is currently streaming the archived pre-show “Kyomoto Taiga Hello Tony!” on WOWOW On Demand to enjoy the “Tony Awards”.
Inoue and Miyazawa Emma will be the hosts, and Kyomoto will be the special supporter of “Live! The 77th Tony Awards Ceremony,” which will be broadcast from 8:00 on June 17, and the subtitled version will be broadcast from 15:00 on June 23. Be sure to check it out.

Since our first performance together 10 years ago, he has always been so kind to me, and I always attend as many of Yoshio’s productions as possible to study from him. Every time I do, I am reminded of my own lack of maturity, but seeing him at the forefront of the musical world is a source of hope for me.
I am truly honored to have been invited to appear on the program of such a respected senior, Yoshio Inoue. I don’t often have the opportunity to speak to him through the media, so I hope to take this opportunity to dig deeper.
I’m a bit nervous, but I’m looking forward to it, so I’ll try to stay as relaxed as possible and do my best to liven up the show. Thank you.
