■INI Taketaka Goto & Daimu Takatsuka exchanged opinions with 160 listeners on “Young Generation and Political Participation”!

“News Gachimon!” featuring INI’s Taketaka Goto and Daimu Takatsuka (“Taka” is officially spelled “Hadashidaka”) ‘ will be broadcast on NHK Radio 1 and NHK E-Tele.

The radio program “News Gachimon! ”. INI’s Goto and Takatsuka appear on each episode and discuss it with NHK’s commentators and reporters. On January 13th, the first public recording of the program on “Young Generations and Political Participation” was held in Yukarigaoka, Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture.

He exchanged opinions with 160 listeners on topics such as why voter turnout among the younger generation is low and how to teach children about politics, and many of the younger generations, including students aspiring to become teachers, asked a series of questions. The recording will be broadcast on Radio 1 for two weeks and will also be introduced on E-Tele.

I thought it was interesting to be able to ask real questions during the Q&A with the listeners, and I think that’s one of the benefits of being publicly recorded. I would love to do it again. I used to think that politics was difficult, but after being in charge of this program, I started looking up words I didn’t understand, and now I can understand them better when I watch the news.

I was able to see once again the benefits of young people participating in politics, including the problems that make it difficult for young people to participate. Normally, we speak as representatives of the younger generation, but it was a great opportunity to think about it together with people from the same generation during the public recording. It’s great to hear from people who are really interested.
