To commemorate the critically acclaimed movie “Oshi no Ko -The Final Act-“, a cranked-up video of the lead actress Sakurai Umin (Aqua) has been released.
This film was filmed over a period of about four and a half months, from November 2023 to March 2024. In the video, Sakurai, who is all up, is shown smiling, shaking hands with Coach Smith, and praising each other.
Although Sakurai felt a lot of pressure to adapt the world-famous original into a live-action version, she took on the role of Aqua with a firm determination, saying, “I don’t want anyone else to play this role.” During the filming period, he arrived on set earlier than anyone else, read the original story for each scene, and thoroughly incorporated the characters.
Sakurai said, “I said, “I’m willing to risk my life and die to play the role of Aqua,” but I always ask myself every day if I’m up to it…” He recalls the “days of determination” when he never gave up his faith even though he was burdened with anxiety on the job.
At the end of the video, Sakurai says, “It’s not just me, but everyone here has shouldered this work together.” Sakurai, choked with tears, thanks the staff. There are also scenes that show that it was a fulfilling scene full of love for the original work.
In addition to the video, a making-of photo of Sakurai and director Smith wiping their tears and exchanging a passionate hug was also released at the same time. The drama and movie “Oshi no Ko” was created by the entire cast and staff who love “Oshi no Ko”, including Umion Sakurai, who served as the chairperson. The movie “[Oshi no Ko]-The Final Act-” is currently being shown as a huge hit.
