Kenshi Yonezu has released the music video for his new song “Plazma”.
“Plazma,” written, composed, and arranged by Kenshi Yonezu, and whose jacket was also designed by himself, is the theme song for the theatrical advance version of “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX ((Zeke Ax) -Beginning-“).
When it was released on January 20th, it ranked first on all distribution sites. It won a total of 31 titles in daily rankings and real-time rankings, and ranked first in Oricon’s daily digital single (single song) ranking on January 20th with sales of 20,612 downloads.
The music video was directed by video director Sho Yanagisawa, who is collaborating with Yonezu for the first time. The content does not contain spoilers for the movie, so enjoy with confidence.

During the music video meeting with Mr. Yonezu, the phrase “initial impulse” was particularly memorable. From there, a picture came to mind of the moment when a young girl meets “something” that she will be obsessed with for the rest of her life. If you express that picture using an underwater set and ultra-analog illusion techniques, you might be able to create chemistry with the music! ? When I timidly suggested this to Mr. Yonezu, he responded at the speed of light, saying, “I want to try it!” and the video was completed with that enthusiasm and impulse.
