The regular cast of the drama “Apollo no Uta” starring Katsutoshi Sato and Akari Takaishi (the official spelling for “Taka” is “Hadashidaka”) has been announced.
A modern interpretation of the epic science fiction youth story “Apollo’s Song” based on the genius Osamu Tezuka (“Msuka” is officially written in the old font), which was serialized in “Weekly Shonen King” in 1970, and will be released on February 18th. It will be made into a live-action drama in the MBS/TBS Dramaism frame.
Osamu Tezuka’s noir work, which delves into the dark side of human beings, is also called “Black Tezuka,” and is now attracting renewed attention as a masterpiece in which Tezuka directly depicts love and sings its praises in a large lyrical poem. “Song of Apollo”. This story, in which Tezuka said, “I wanted to depict some cases of love and how it relates to human life,” has been adapted into a modern version under the supervision of Tezuka Productions. Revived as a story.
“Apollo’s Song” is a parallel love story starring Katsutoshi Sato and Akari Takaishi, written by Osamu Tezuka, and directed and written by Ken Ninomiya. This time, the regular cast has been released all at once.
Utilizing Osamu Tezuka’s “Star System”, a gorgeous cast plays roles all over the world. The relationship between Shogo and Hiromi, who face the “trial of love”, will be greatly expanded.
The role of Shimoda, Shogo’s friend from university, will be played in the 2021 MBS/TBS Dramaism “Dokusa, Kimi ni.” He made his acting debut in “Minato Shoji Laundromat” and got his big break. Takumi Nishigaki, an up-and-coming actor with an overwhelming presence who has become a hot topic with his appearance in the Sunday theater “Diamonds Sleeping in the Sea,” has been selected.
She played the role of Yasuko, Hiromi’s bar colleague, in the 2018 movie “Ice Cream and the Sound of Amane”, and also appeared in the movies “Asa ga Kuru”, “The World I See is Everything”, and NHK TV Serial. Numerous works including the novel “Ale” Her acting skills in “Tatsumi”, “Eternal Sakura”, “Sayuri”, “NN4444”, “Foolish Smile”, and “Seigod” were praised, and she won the Best Emerging Actress Award at the 16th TAMA Film Awards in 2024. When I was first approached, I felt very happy to be able to appear in a work based on Osamu Tezuka’s original work.
Shimoda’s personality is slightly different in every world, so I struggled with how to express those differences.
I hope you can look forward to seeing how Shimoda from various worlds will interact with Shogo and Hiromi. The world changes many times and the tempo is fast, but the theme is “love”. I hope that everyone who views this work will think about “love” through this work. I also worked hard on muscle training for a “certain scene”! My name is Sou Morita, and I played the role of Yasuko.
The vivid and rich worldview of the original work will be transformed into a live-action film with Director Ninomiya’s direction, and the two lead actors will be Sato-san and Takaishi-chan, who not only shine visually but also from within. Personally, I was really looking forward to it.
During filming, the cast and staff were able to relax, encourage each other, and have a constant laugh, and there were times when the four of us, including Mr. Nishigaki, were able to have a chat, making it a work that leaves memories even outside of the scenes.

I read the original work by Osamu Tezuka. It was a shock. “Apollo’s Song” I’m looking forward to seeing how this story about love on a large scale will turn into a drama. What is love? Once I read the script, I was so drawn into the story that I finished reading it in no time.
The theme of this work is “love,” and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the main character grows while overcoming difficulties in this mysterious spiral. The world where humans and synthetics live is also a must-see!
