Hikaru Utada's "Electricity (Karen Nyame KG remix)" has been released! A DJ event will also be held to commemorate the release.

A remix version of Hikaru Utada’s song “Electricity”, “Electricity (Karen Nyame KG remix)”, will be released on February 15th.

To commemorate this, a DJ event will be held at Osaka’s Expo Commemoration Park on February 14th, the night before the release.

“Electricity”, which is included in “SCIENCE FICTION” to be released in 2024, was performed as an encore on various tours, and has become a work that symbolizes last year’s activities.

In addition, the music video for “Electricity” released in December has exceeded 1.6 million views and is attracting attention.

This time, the DJ event will feature London-based producer Karen Nyame KG, who worked on the remix, as well as DJ YANATAKE and DJ POIPOI. “Electricity (Karen Nyame KG remix)” will be released for the first time in the world during this DJ event.

After the event, it was announced that the song would be aired for the first time nationwide on FM802’s “ROCK KIDS 802-Lisa Lit Friday-”. For more information on how to participate in the event, please visit the special page.

“Electricity (Karen Nyame KG remix)” distribution reservation campaign has also started. If you pre-order on iTunes by 11:59 pm on February 14th, you will receive an “original clear file” and a standby screen as a pre-order/pre-save.

Also, at the same time, a special installation of “NINE STORIES”, which was featured on Utada Hikaru staff’s SNS during last year’s national tour and became a hot topic, will be held. This is the first installation in advance of the publication of the photo book “NINE STORIES,” which captures the national tour from the perspectives of nine photographers.

The event will be held from February 14th to 24th at EXPO’70 Pavilion in Expo’70 Memorial Park, Osaka.
