JO1’s new song “Believe in You” has been chosen as the theme song for “Run for Money THE MOVIE”! Official trailer and stills released

■The six members of JO1 (Takumi Kawanishi, Shoya Kimata, and Aoi Kaneshiro) and FANTASTICS (Souta Nakajima, Reiya Seguchi, and Taiki Sato) put on a spectacular performance under extreme circumstances!

The official trailer and stills for “Run for Money THE MOVIE,” which will be released nationwide on July 19th, have been released.

Fuji TV variety show “Run for Money”, which began airing in 2004, has been adapted into a drama film in the year of its 20th anniversary. With six members of JO1 and FANTASTICS as the main cast, it has been attracting a lot of attention even before its release. With a total prize of over 100 million yen and a total of 1,000 participants, this is the biggest “Run for Money” show ever. A thrilling, sometimes passionate, and sometimes tear-jerking story unfolds.

■ The official trailer conveys the brutality of the shocking “death game” that has turned the “Run for Money”
During their high school days, six young men, Yamato (Takumi Kawanishi), Eijiro (Sota Nakajima), Ken (Shoya Kimoto), Yugo (Aomi Kaneshiro), Riku (Reiya Seguchi), and Joji (Daiki Sato), were good rivals in the track and field club. One day, three years after graduating from high school, they receive an invitation to “Run for Money,” the largest event ever, with 1,000 participants, the whole of Tokyo, and a total prize of 100 million yen. The six men, who had been separated due to certain circumstances, decide to participate, each with their own thoughts and ambitions.

Many familiar celebrity fugitives, such as HIKAKIN, Tsuda from Diane, and Hasegawa from Nishikigoi, also participated in “Run for Money”. As Yamato and the others were full of energy aiming to win the prize money, they suddenly received news that “participants have disappeared”, and the game gradually changed. In this video, a new game master, “K” (Matsudaira Ken), appears, who has taken over Chronos Corporation (which manages the game), and K unleashes the vicious “Wild Hunter” and various traps, quickly transforming “Run for Money” into a life-threatening game of desire and betrayal…

“If you get caught, you’re gone, but if you survive, there’s a prize of 10 billion yen.” The “Run for Money” has turned into a death game. The six are at the mercy of the unpredictable game, clashing with each other but facing the difficulties together and regaining their bonds. This is a story of friendship that builds expectations.

■The theme song is JO1’s new song “Believe in You”
In this trailer, it is revealed that JO1’s latest song “Believe in You” will be the theme song for “Run for Money THE MOVIE”. Written specifically for this film, it is a medium-tempo ballad that emotionally sings of friendship and bonds. It is a contrasting song to the fast-paced sound of the film’s fighting theme, “Break Line” by FANTASTICS.

Among the 12 stills released, there are some that capture the tense situation of Yamato (Kawanishi Takumi) and others with serious expressions on their faces, as well as the appearance of the violent “Wild Hunter” and Game Master “K” who suddenly appear before the six and annihilate the participants. The outcome of this suspenseful ultimate death game is of course a highlight, but the chemistry between the members of JO1 and FANTASTICS and their spectacular collaboration that transcends the boundaries of their groups is also a highlight.
