Fujiyoshi Natsurin (Sakurazaka46)’s first starring movie “Rookie Reporter Trolley: If I don’t do it, who will?” stills and introductions of the five characters have been released

■Digging deeper into the charms of each of the five hard-working students!

New stills have arrived from Fujiyoshi Natsurin’s (Sakurazaka46) first starring movie, “Shinmai Kisha Trolley: If I Don’t Do It, Who Will?” (released August 9th). In addition, introductions to the five unique characters have also been released.

This film started as a proposal that Shotaro Miyagawa, the original creator, wrote for a class assignment while he was a student at Nihon University College of Art, Department of Film. After witnessing a scandal at his alma mater, the proposal, which was filled with the nervousness of a child standing up to adults and the passion to achieve something, inspired the producers and led to the theatrical release.

■ Tokoro Yui, an upstanding girl who follows her idol, the writer Konoha, and ends up joining the newspaper club by chance! She struggles as a rookie reporter.
Tokoro Yui, the protagonist played by Fujiyoshi Natsurin, is a literary girl who admires the mysterious author “Midorimachi Konoha”. Wanting to meet Konoha, she enrolls in the prestigious private Sakuraba Gakuen High School where Konoha attends and attempts to join the literature club. However, due to a certain reason, she is unable to join the literature club. Yui’s desire to meet Konoha is so strong that she is depressed, but the head of the literature club, Nishizonji Mari (Kumada Rinka), offers her a hand and offers her the condition that she will be allowed to join if she finds the mysterious author “Konoha”. Yui infiltrates the school’s unofficial newspaper club, which has a track record of interviewing “Konoha”, and works as a rookie reporter “Trocco” under the leadership of the club’s head, Kasane (Takaishi Akari), and vice-head, Haruna (Nakai Tomomi). Where will Yui, a rookie reporter who pushes forward straight for the truth, end up…?

■ She loves newspapers! Kasane Sugihara, the eccentric and passionate newspaper club president who wields a trolley
Sugihara Kasane, played by Takaishi Akari (the official spelling of “taka” is “godaka”), is the unofficial head of the school’s newspaper club. She is a passionate and reckless type who will do anything to get a scoop and will thoroughly pursue her target. Kasane admires the image of a reporter from the Showa era and has a strong attachment to the newspaper medium, and her love for newspapers is so strong that she has memorized the entire books of journalists she respects. She leads Yui, who has joined the newspaper club, around while teaching her the secrets of being a reporter. Although she has many enemies because she continues to do unconventional interviews, she is a passionate and unconventional reporter who pushes forward in the pursuit of the truth.

■ An elegant young lady! Mari Nishizonji, the star of the school and head of the Literature Club.
Nishizonji Mari, played by Kumagaya Rinka, is the president of the prestigious Literature Club and has won the Literature Contest twice in a row. She is an elite at the school, respected by other students for her elegant way of speaking and appearance. She is also favored by the school’s chairman. She worries about Yui, who is depressed because she can’t join the Literature Club, and suggests that if she infiltrates the Newspaper Club, which holds the key to the mysterious author “Midorimachi Konoha” and finds “Konoha,” she will be allowed to join the Literature Club. Yui calls her “Onee-sama” and adores her.

■ The unsung hero supporting the unconventional club president! Vice-president of the newspaper club, Haruna Onda
Haruna Onda, played by Tomomi Nakai, is the vice-president of the newspaper club and the behind-the-scenes supporter of the club as Kasane’s partner. She is a friendly senior who welcomes the new member Yui and always looks out for her. Despite being pushed around by Kasane, who is free-spirited and follows her own path, Onda continues to be active in the newspaper club, but recently they seem to be on the same page…

■ The mysterious former member of the Literary Arts Club, Aki Matsuyama
Matsuyama Aki, played by Tsuna Hironaga, is a former member of the literature club who is currently absent from school for certain reasons. He seems quiet and calm. Matsuyama comes into contact with Yui and the other members of the newspaper club, but who is he? He seems to know something about Nishizonji Mari’s past and the secret of the mysterious author “Midorimachi Konoha”… How will Matsuyama, who holds the key to this work, be involved in the story?
