The 11th installment of the overseas location series "World Crowd Quiz" of "Rea Totsu WEST." is the Taiwan edition brought to you by Nozomi Kotaki

■ WEST. was completely captivated by guest Marika Matsumoto’s brilliant quiz answers and conversation! “It was a perfect variety show!”

A popular project on ABC TV’s “We’ll go and see it for you! Real-life WEST.”, the overseas location series “World Crowd Quiz” in which WEST. members get caught up in crowds around the world, will begin airing on June 9th, with the 11th episode of the series, Taiwan, presented by Nozomu Kotaki.

“There’ll be some samples to try today, right? I didn’t try anything!” “You can react to the deliciousness better if you’re hungry!” The WEST members started the Taiwan episode with enthusiasm. As expected, Kotaki first visited a night market where about 10,000 people gather.

In an area of about 200 metres, there are 200 shops packed into the area, with a wide variety of food stalls lined up. Kotaki, with a big smile on his face, says, “There are all kinds of smells, from sweet to salty!” and the one thing he decided he absolutely cannot miss is rice noodles.

Kotaki waits in line even though the other members are surprised at how long it is, saying, “If it was a private event, I would stop going in.” He gives a series of realistic reports, tilting his head and saying, “Hmm?”, or forgetting about the camera and stuffing his face with food, saying, “This is the best thing I’ve ever eaten!”

This time, Kotaki was in charge of the location shoot, but when it comes to Taiwan in WEST., Nakama Junta is the one. Nakama has lived in Taiwan and is fluent in Taiwanese, so guest Matsumoto Marika requested that he speak in Taiwanese.

Matsumoto also seemed to be able to speak Taiwanese, so Nakama smiled and started speaking Taiwanese, but Matsumoto’s response was something like “% & # @:” that was hard to understand. Surprised, WEST. all fell over, exclaiming “You can’t speak it?” After that, WEST. continued to be stunned by Matsumoto’s brilliant quiz answers and talk. They even showed a satisfied look, saying “This is the perfect variety show!”

Kotaki enjoyed Taiwanese cuisine to the fullest, ordering so many dishes that he wryly asked, “Do you think we’re a rugby club member?” and taking on the annual (?) “World’s Hottest Food Challenge.” Afterwards, he went around Taiwan’s busiest shopping district, was rescued by a couple at an unexpected late-night date spot, and stuck his face in various Taiwanese crowds from morning until late at night.
