Toru (Nagase Ren) and Koji (Matsuda Genta) make a once-in-a-lifetime confession! The drama “Tokyo Tower” heads to a tumultuous final chapter

■ Koji’s brutal battlefield and Tohru’s abandonment! A storm of praise and criticism on social media over the out-of-control “forbidden love”

The eighth episode of the drama “Tokyo Tower” starring Nagase Ren (King & Prince) will be broadcast on TV Asahi from 11pm on June 8th.

The 7th episode, which aired on June 1st, kicked off with a spectacular scene in which Kimiko (MEGUMI), his daughter Hina (Ikeda Akana), and even Koji’s girlfriend Yuri (Naenano) showed up in Koji’s (Matsuda Genta / Travis Japan) room. There, Hina spills the beans, and it’s all over. Furthermore, Yuri becomes enraged at Koji for protecting Kimiko over herself… it was a development that left even the viewers watching on edge.

On social media, many people agreed with the suspenseful development, saying, “It’s painful to watch,” and “My heart aches from beginning to end.” While some shared their pain, there were also comments criticizing the two for falling in love, saying, “Isn’t it selfish of Kimiko to cry?” and “Koji, you sowed the seeds, so you deserve it.”

Also, an unexpected turn of events occurs for Toru (Nagase Ren), who goes to Karuizawa with Shishi (Itaya Yuka) and spends some sweet time alone with her.

As if sensing their relationship, Shishi’s husband, Asano Hideo (Komoto Masahiro), appears at the villa, and their happy time is turned upside down, causing Toru to shed tears of sadness…

While some were heartbroken by Nagase’s beautiful tears, saying things like, “The moon and the tears are too beautiful,” and “Can you really walk back from deep in the mountains by yourself? Please let me know when you get home,” there were also some harsh comments about Shishi, saying things like, “He’s too calm and scary,” “It feels like Tohru’s heart is being dug into,” and “Shishi’s actions make me feel uneasy.”

The seventh episode, which evoked unprecedentedly strong opinions for and against, was also trending with related words such as “Shishi-san” and “Kimiko-san” in addition to the title “Tokyo Tower”. It also ranked first on TVer, and the total number of views for the missed broadcast exceeded 16.5 million (calculated by Video Research / April 21st to June 6th), and excitement is building towards the “final chapter” of the eighth and ninth episodes.

The 9th episode, which will be broadcast on June 15th, has been announced as a “final episode 1-hour special.” It will be aired in a special version befitting the final episode, 30 minutes longer than usual.

■Tonight, the two young men make a decision! They will make up their minds and confess their feelings to the woman they can’t forget!
In the eighth episode, which will air on June 8th, Toru and Koji, having overcome their worst summer, once again face their feelings and decide to make the confession of a lifetime.

As Shishi drifts away just as he seems to get closer, Toru’s feelings for him grow stronger. He finally becomes emotional and tells Shishi, “You should have dumped her, not me!” and “Break up with her,” expressing his true feelings to him, which he had never shown before.

Viewers who watched the preview for episode 8 expressed concern for Tohru, whose emotions are getting out of control, saying, “Tohru’s feelings are too strong,” and “It’s sinful for him to drag a young girl this far into this.”

And having lost all his love in one go, Koji wishes to see Kimiko once more, and goes to confess his feelings to her, who tells him “I wish I had never met you.”

How will Shishi and Kimiko respond to the “confessions” of the two young men? With the final episode approaching, it will be interesting to see what actions they will take with their respective feelings in mind.

■ Episode 8 Synopsis
Kojima Toru (Nagase Ren) was spending a sweet time with Asano Shishi (Itaya Yuka) in Karuizawa. However, their dreamlike time came to an abrupt end when Shishi’s husband, Asano Hideo (Komoto Masahiro), showed up at their villa.

Despite the situation, Shishi calmly sent him off with a smile, saying, “It was fun.” Tohru, who was at her mercy and confused, remembered her words, “I’m jealous of your future,” and realized that she had abandoned him.

After that, the summer ended without any contact. One day, Toru decides to visit Shishi’s office. Shishi’s nonchalant attitude makes Toru raise his voice and tell him his true feelings, “You should have dumped her, not me!” and “Break up with her.” But what did Shishi say in response to Toru?

Meanwhile, Ohara Koji (Matsuda Genta), who lost everything when his relationship with Kawano Kimiko (MEGUMI) became public, reunites with Moriyama Yuri (Naenano) at a job interview venue. When Koji hears some shocking words from Yuri, he suddenly runs off…
