ZIP! gives exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of solo artist Iwata Takanori’s final performance of his first solo arena tour

On June 11th, Nippon Television’s morning information program “ZIP!” will broadcast an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Iwata Takanori (EXILE/Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS) as he embarks on his first arena tour as a solo artist.

Iwata Takanori debuted as a performer in Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS in 2010, and has been a member of EXILE since 2014, while also appearing in various dramas, movies, and stage plays, making him popular as an actor.

In 2021, he launched a solo project and has been expanding his activities as an artist, performing live shows and showcasing his own oil paintings.

Since March 2024, he has been holding his first solo arena tour, “Takanori Iwata LIVE TOUR 2024 “ARTLESS”.

He is directing and producing the show himself, and the theme is “unpretentious, as it is,” with a focus on songs from his second album, “ARTLESS,” also released in March, and is filled with Iwata’s attention to detail in the stage and costumes.

ZIP! gave us an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Budokan performance on the final day of the tour.

The program not only covers rehearsals, but also the warm-up just before a performance, which is not usually available to the public, giving us a rare glimpse into Iwata’s true self.

After the show, we interviewed Iwata, who had just finished a tour of 12 shows in 6 cities, to fully convey his appeal as a solo artist.
