Kyomoto Taiga stars in the drama “Omukae Shibuya-kun” in which the mysterious “father of Shibuya-kun” is played by Hakamada Yoshihiko

■ “I put a lot of effort into filming the scene where I confront my father” (SixTONES Kyomoto Taiga)

The 11th episode of KTV/Fuji TV’s Tuesday Drama Eleven “Omukae Shibuya-kun” (every Tuesday from 11pm), starring Kyomoto Taiga (SixTONES), will be broadcast on June 11th.

In episode 10, Shibuya-kun (Kyomoto Taiga) becomes increasingly busy with his sights set on expanding into the world, and his younger sister Otomu (Morobashi Mei) finally reaches her limit. This leads Aika (Tanabe Momoko) to confess her relationship with Shibuya-kun to the school principal (Nobukawa Seijun), and she also suggests to Shibuya-kun that they should distance themselves for the sake of young Otomu. The difference in their feelings becomes clear between Shibuya-kun, who is completely single-minded about his love for Aika, and Aika, who wants to respond to his feelings but prioritizes the happiness of the children at the school.

Shibuya-kun is shocked to realize that the harder he tries, the more he ends up hurting those around him. He happens to witness his co-star Chinatsu (Tamai Shiori) being attacked by a stalker. He sees himself in the violent act of hurting a “precious person” and in the next moment, he loses control and attacks the stalker, surprising viewers with his unprecedented behavior.

In the 11th episode, which aired on June 11th, Kanda (Naito Shuichiro), unable to bear the sight of his junior colleague on the verge of a physical and mental breakdown, forcibly takes Shibuya to his father, who abandoned his family, saying that it is wrong for Shibuya to be the only one to shoulder the burden of the household. Judging from previous statements by his mother Haruka (Otoha), it seems that his father, who left as soon as Otomu was born, is quite a womanizer and has cheated on his wife more than just a few times…

Shibuya-kun’s father, who has been shrouded in mystery until now, will be played by Yoshihiko Hakamada, who is still fresh in our memory as the coffee shop owner in the drama “Fuketekin mo Hodo ga Aru!” (TBS). He plays a quirky father who doesn’t care about the family he abandoned, and speaks words that are hard to believe he would say to his son when they meet again after a long time.

■ Episode 11 Story
Shibuya-kun (Kyomoto Taiga) punches the man who attacked Chinatsu (Tamai Shiori) and is arrested. The news of the popular actor’s assault spreads quickly, and Aika (Tanabe Momoko) is shocked when she hears the news. However, there must be a very good reason why Shibuya-kun, who is a kind-hearted man who cares for his family, is so violent. Aika suppresses her upset feelings and does her best to ensure that her younger sister, Otomu (Morobayashi Mei), can live her life as usual at the nursery school.

Meanwhile, Shibuya-kun is being questioned by the police and refuses to answer any questions, and Kyoko (Hasegawa Kyoko) feels helpless as his manager. Chinatsu explains the situation to the police and Shibuya-kun is released without incident, but the fact that he caused trouble for his employer by getting the police involved remains unchanged. Kyoko makes a difficult decision.

Meanwhile, Kanda (Naito Shuichiro) points out that one of the reasons for this incident is that Shibuya-kun is taking care of Otomu on top of his job. He expresses his anger, asking why Shibuya-kun has to go through all this trouble when it is supposed to be the parents who are supposed to protect their children. He then takes Shibuya-kun, who is afraid of losing himself again, to a certain person…

Comment from Yoshihiko Hakamada
Q. What did you think of Tani Yosuke’s role and how did you feel about playing it?

Hakamada:From the outside, he may seem like a sloppy father, but he has a strong will and I got the impression that he is a man of his own accord. When I was acting, I couldn’t help but feel bad for my child, so it was hard to suppress it! The slight distance between the two is a highlight, so don’t miss it.

Q. How was the filming? If you have any stories about your co-stars, please tell us.
Hakamada:Taiga-kun often performed with his father, Masaki-san, 30 years ago, and he was very kind to me, so I had a lot of feelings for him. So I had a hard time being harsh to him (bitter laugh).

Q. What are the highlights of episode 11 and your message to the viewers?
Hakamada:It’s finally reaching its climax! What kind of parent-child relationship will it be? Please check it out.

■ Comment from Kyomoto Taiga
Shibuya Yosuke, played by Hakamada-san, has the dignity and dignity of a father, plus a frivolousness, which is exactly how I imagined Shibuya-kun’s father to be! It was very easy to work with him. Shibuya-kun’s character is actually heavily influenced by his past, so I thought it was important to have a scene where he confronts his father in order to draw a line between his past self and his past self. I don’t usually say anything to the director about my acting, but for this scene, I felt like, “I’m scared to say something clearly to my father, but I want to say it strongly,” and I suggested that to the director. The director also accepted my feelings, and I focused on the strength of putting my long-held feelings into words and shooting the scene. A lot of strange things happened during the shoot…the moment Hakamada-san said the keyword “group date,” I got a nosebleed (laughs). He was very charming, and he was so friendly that I wondered if it was really the first time we met.
