New stills have been released from the film “Unsayable Secret” (released June 28th), in which SixTONES’ Kyomoto Taiga plays the sole lead role.

■Still images have been released, capturing Kyomoto Taiga and Furukawa Kotone taking on key piano performances in the film!
The film depicts how Minato (Kyomoto Taiga), a piano student at a music college who is suffering from a certain trauma, and Yukino (Furukawa Kotone), who has an aura of mystery, have a fateful encounter through a piano piece, and then grow closer to each other through playing the piano and music.

The key to this film is the piano duet scene. The way the two characters gradually grow closer to each other is carefully expressed through the piano duet scene. Kyomoto and Furukawa had been practicing the piano individually before filming began, but when it came to acting while playing a duet together, they said that there were many difficulties. Even if they were good at playing alone, when they played a duet, the difficulty of listening to each other’s sounds is added, and if they are not in sync, their minds and bodies will appear out of sync.

Kyomoto and Furukawa would find a piano on-site and begin practicing without one of them knowing what to do, and when the other heard the sound, he would join in and they began practicing duets. With repeated practice, the precision of their duets improved vis-a-vis each other. Furukawa, who has experience playing the piano, revealed his surprise at Kyomoto’s piano playing, saying, “He is someone who is able to integrate the sound and his body, and express himself well using his body. I can’t believe this is the first time he’s practiced properly.”

The two, who had practiced repeatedly during the filming of the piano duet scene, were able to face the actual scene without any nervousness, and even exchanged high fives when director Hayato Kawai said “OK!” The overwhelming performance scene, which is not just technical but also resonates with the mind and body, moves the hearts of the viewers.

The newly released photos include three scenes related to piano performance: a piano duet scene with a calm atmosphere, a shot of Minato performing on stage in front of an audience with a serious expression, and Yukino performing with a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere in a sunlit music room.

Not only the cast, but also the piano performance scenes, which were filmed with attention to detail, including camera work, with advice from a piano teacher, are worth paying attention to.
