■ With SDM’s activities suspended, Haruhara (Yamashita Tomohisa) takes a negative attitude towards SDM. Meanwhile, Aya (Deguchi Natsuki)’s weather analysis reveals the possibility of a dangerous lightning storm.
The eighth episode of the Wednesday 10pm drama “Blue Moment” (Fuji TV, every Wednesday from 10pm to 10:54pm) starring Yamashita Tomohisa will be broadcast from 10pm on June 12th.
“Blue Moment” depicts the story of the members of the Special Disaster Management Office (SDM) who risk their lives to rescue people at the forefront of the disaster, using their wisdom and knowledge to protect the lives of those threatened by severe weather disasters. Tomohisa Yamashita plays the main character, Kankuro Haruhara, who serves as the chief/meteorological researcher of the SDM.
■ Episode 8 Synopsis
“Alive–“
Kasumi Ueno (Kami Hiraiwa) muttered, and was caught in a mudslide while protecting Kankuro Haruhara (Tomohisa Yamashita). When Haruhara woke up, the atmosphere was tense, and Hikaru Maruyama (Sawa Nimura) began to talk about what happened in the heavy rains in southern Kanto five years ago.
Five years ago, Sonobe Akari (Honda Tsubasa), who was with Ueno, found out that Ueno’s son Kaito (Ishizuka Rikuto) had been left behind at a nursery school in a dangerous area, and went to the nursery school in place of the injured Ueno, saying, “I’ll definitely come back.” Hikaru was working at the nursery school at the time, and when Akari arrived there, she and Kaito evacuated together, but they got separated on the way. Akari died protecting Kaito.
Three months later, SDM has ceased operations. Meanwhile, Kumota Aya (Deguchi Natsuki), who has passed the weather forecaster exam, appears on a TV weather segment, while Haruhara is engrossed in research that doesn’t need to be done right away. Sonobe Yugo (Mizukami Koji) and Shiomi Sagiri (Kaho) come over out of concern, but Haruhara is pessimistic about SDM. Meanwhile, Aya’s weather analysis reveals the possibility of a dangerous lightning strike. Aya struggles to save her life, but Kaito suddenly appears at SDM headquarters…
