A special re-screening of the film “Buzzy Noise,” starring Takumi Kawanishi (JO1) and Hiyori Sakurada, has been announced to be held in celebration of Takumi Kawanishi’s birthday.

The event will be held on June 23rd, which is the 25th birthday of lead actor Kawanishi Takumi. All attendees will receive a limited edition “Anniversary Board Fan” to celebrate Kawanishi Takumi’s birthday. The fan has “Kawanishi Takumi HAPPY BIRTHDAY” written in large letters and features cuts of Kawanishi playing the role of Kiyosumi and icons, making it a rare limited edition item that can only be obtained on this day.

In addition, a birthday posting campaign will be held on the official SNS. A special selection will be made from those who upload congratulatory videos and photos taken at the theater with fans along with the designated hashtag, and the official movie site will compile them into one video and upload it at a later date. There will also be a special release from the official movie site that compiles content that compiles Kawanishi Takumi’s passion for “Buzzy Noise.”

Immediately after it began serialization in Weekly Big Comic Spirits (published by Shogakukan), “Buzzy Noise” has garnered enthusiastic support and sympathy, especially on social media, for the realistic portrayal of the characters’ psychology, the unique musical expression that seems to transcend the pages of the magazine, and the timely theme of DTM (desktop music), and has attracted a lot of attention as a new music comic for the digital native generation that is completely different from conventional music manga. The original work has been made into a movie by Hiroki Kazama, director of the drama “Silent,” which became a social phenomenon all over Japan, and is currently being shown nationwide.

The lead role is played by Kawanishi Takumi of JO1, a member of the group that continues to garner enthusiastic support from both within Japan and overseas, and has even appeared at the Red and White Song Battle for two consecutive years. This is Kawanishi’s first leading role in a film, and he plays Kiyosumi, a man who lives a simple life with no need for human contact, and whose only “favourite thing” is making music on his computer and playing it alone. The other lead role is played by Sakurada Hiyori, a young actor who has steadily built up a career as an actor and model, and who will be teaming up with director Kazama for the second time after “Silent”. She plays Ushio, a man who lives true to his feelings, and who is the catalyst for an intense noise to flow into Kiyosumi’s closed world.

Even after its release, the film has been receiving a great response due to its content and the quality of its music, but the decision to implement this project came at a time when the theatrical release was starting to calm down a bit. Information on the theaters where the film will be screened will be posted on the film’s official website and on social media at a later date.
