■The music video for the new song “Never Give Up! Live,” included on the 1st single, has also been released!
≒JOY, who released their first single “Gym Disco” on June 12th, will be live streaming a special program to commemorate the release of the single, “Near Joy 1st Single Release Commemorative Broadcast! ~Summer is Here! Near Joy Hot Party~” from 7pm on June 13th.
During the live broadcast special, viewers were flooded with congratulatory comments for ≒JOY, whose first single reached number one on the Oricon Daily Single Rankings, and a segment that got viewers excited and feeling the summer spirit, “Summer is Here! Upperclassmen vs. Underclassmen! ≒JOY Hot Battle!!” was held.
The members were divided into two teams, the “senior students team” and the “underclassmen team,” and they competed for prizes in three challenges: “Please support us! The best line competition!”, in which they appealed for their team with lines, based on the “dialogue scene” which is one of the highlights of the “Gymnasium Disco” music video; “Aim for the high score! The hot quoit toss challenge!”, in which they had a quoit toss competition using a quoit toss stall set; and “Quick shaving and eating! Ice-cold shaved ice challenge!”, in which they competed to see who could shave and eat a cup of shaved ice the fastest.
In the second half of the program, titled “A thorough explanation of the ‘Gym Disco’ Music Video!!”, each member watched the music video for their new song “Gym Disco” and shared behind-the-scenes stories that only they would know, as well as the best parts that they should pay attention to. This special project, unique to this special program, made the live broadcast very exciting.
In addition, just before the program ended, a surprise announcement was made that the 4-city “≒JOY Hall Tour 2024” would be held. Details of the tour and ticket information will be announced at a later date.
The live special broadcast is currently being archived and available on YouTube’s “Equal Love Nogizaka46 Near Joy Channel.”
Additionally, the music video for the new song “Never Give Up! Live,” which is included in the first single, will be released at 8:30 p.m. on the same day.
“Never Give Up! Live” is a gentle, supportive song from ≒JOY to help you love yourself even when you’re feeling down today or gloomy tomorrow, and to help you live your life without giving up.
The music video is composed of scenes of the members lip-syncing to convey the heartfelt message, and dancing against a magnificent backdrop of the sky. The touching scene at the end where the members run into the sunset is a must-see.
In addition, a special release event to celebrate the release of the first single, “Gyakuin Disco,” will be held on June 15th at the outdoor Merope Square on the first floor of Stella Town Omiya in Saitama. For more details, see the official website.
