NewJeans has released the music video for their new song “Right Now” on YouTube.
“Right Now” is a track off of their Japanese debut album “Supernatural,” which will be released on June 21st, and features a drum and bass beat and the members’ bouncy vocals.
The music video combines the members’ actual appearances with animation elements. It depicts an episode that occurs when HANNI sends a message to a person she likes and waits for a reply. HANNI is terrified of what kind of reply she will receive, and the expressions and actions of the other members who are watching over her are adorable.
Characters from “The Powerpuff Girls x NewJeans,” which incorporate the personalities of the five members, and “Murakami Takashi x NewJeans” will also appear.
The Powerpuff Girls characters, who set out to find the elixir of love, and Takashi Murakami’s character, who was born from an unexpected error in the process, appear in the space where NewJeans is, catching the eye without pause. In addition, the fast-paced screen direction and story unfolding to the fast beat enhance the sense of immersion.
Along with their Japanese debut, NewJeans will also appear on various Japanese music shows and perform their new songs. They will also hold a fan meeting, “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome,” at the Tokyo Dome on June 26th and 27th.
