SixTONES appears on the cover of the August special edition of "ViVi"! Freestyle photoshoot with lots of fun shots

■A cover story and pin-up supplement have been completed to spice up the magazine’s first appearance in about a year

SixTONES will appear on the cover of the special edition of the August 2024 issue of “ViVi” (on sale June 21). The cover story and pin-up supplement will be a big hit for the group’s first appearance in about a year.

In 2024, SixTONES will enter a two-year anniversary period, from the 9th to the 10th anniversary of their formation, and from the 5th to the 6th anniversary of their CD debut. Not only do they continue to create a big buzz as a group with each new song and music video release, but they are also expanding their individual activities to the point where not a day goes by without seeing the members in the media, including dramas, movies, and variety shows, and their momentum shows no sign of slowing down.

Even now, having accumulated experience and ability as artists, the six of them have not changed from the time of their formation as “bad friends,” and they have created a vibe that is unique to SixTONES by involving everyone involved in the group, including fans, co-stars, and staff, in their “guru.” The special feature title, “Uchinarasorera’s GONG SixTONES the BEAT!!,” expresses their desire to continue riding the amazing BEAT they play, even after their anniversary, and into the future.

The outfits for this shoot were colorful, with a mischievous vintage casual style that showed some summery skin, and a cool, silver and white futuristic look that was the complete opposite. In addition to the stunningly cool solo and group shots, the shoot also took on the challenge of freestyle shooting in pairs. When the editorial department asked each pair to “move freely together,” they started acting out skits, floating in the air, getting close to each other without hesitation, and even starting to fight for some reason (?!), and the excitement on set produced a ton of hilarious shots that were just like them.

The interview includes talks that only a group that has known each other for so long can talk about, as they have just started their 10th year since being formed, such as “His Up Beat & Crazy Beat,” where they reveal each member’s “good times and not so good times,” “WHAT’S UP!? SixTONES,” where they talk about their exciting recent situations as if they were talking to a friend, “The Awesome Team SixTONES,” where they honestly express their gratitude to those who have supported the group so far, and a “Random Q&A” corner, which is a special version named after the titles of the singles they have released so far to celebrate the start of their anniversary year. There is also a group talk, which is when they are at their best, making it a content that is full of SixTONES-ness.
