DREAMS COME TRUE releases first music video for “Kaiju,” the theme song for the movie “Kaminofude: The Island with Monsters”

■A music video that shows the surprising affinity between Dreams Come True and monster special effects

The first music video for DREAMS COME TRUE’s new song “Kaiju,” featuring the movie “Kamino Fude: The Island with Monsters,” has been released.

“Kaiju” was written as the theme song for the movie “Kaminofude: The Island with Monsters,” which will be released on July 26. The music video is filled with footage from the movie, and while it gives a sense of the unexpected affinity between DREAMS COME TRUE and special effects monsters, it also conveys the strength of the message in the lyrics.

The original creator and general director of the film “Kamino Fude: The Island with Monsters” is Tsuguzo Murase, a legendary figure in the world of Japanese monster design.

In response to an enthusiastic offer from Director Murase, who is from the same hometown of Ikeda, Hokkaido as Miwa Yoshida, a beautiful and grandiose song was completed, sprinkled with lyrics evocative of the original landscape of Hokkaido, such as “kingfisher,” “river surface,” and “white birch.”
